Carter wants India to sign the NPT first. Because all the present members have done so. Well the present members have stocked over 30,000 or more of them before signing them. So tat not the argument or reason that Carter should assume that we sign. We say we should have (god give the UPA sences) right to test all further nuclear divices to fine tune our programme without having to suffer any concequances.
a deal is done only when accepted by both parties.
As far as India is concerned or other non NPT countires we didnt accept and so we didnt sign it. its not a UNiversal law created by GOD. its one sided and the wealthy naitons did it in favour of them.
well if idea of the deal is good the UN should talk to all nations and keep talking till the deal is accepted by everyone. it cant be accepted by few wealthy powerful econmoies and be forced on all others
indian technology is well advanced in the field of nuclear energy. india has all the resources to build nuclear reactors. only thing required is a proper leadership to locate and exploit the resources. instead of doing this, if we go for begging to others, our technology will be stand still, and we will have to take unwanted economical burden, political dependence, accept nuclear waste,.... etc. so please cancell 123....
The major objective of the NPT was to prevent other countries from obtaining the technology and fissile material, indian has developed its own indeginious programm.Dose any one of brazil, egypt, saudi, have indeginious programm all these countries begged technology from UAS, wak thu on these countries.japan is an exception but then again japan presently dose not opposses india's program since indian is the only country which can threaten china in economic, military, human resource aspects.if carter is so worried abot nuclear disaster why don he advices american's to dismantle nuclear warheads, double standards, pee on carter.

Hey George you are only pointing out one man's opinion. Did any one have a different opinion. There are 2 sides to any stroy. You are focusing only on Dr.Goplakrisnan opinion. So many Indian scientists agreed.
Mr. Jimmy Carter, we have no problem to sign the NPT provided that, we are allowed to conduct 2000 nuclear tests without the World (Read US) imposing sanctions on us, we are allowed to buy fissile material freely from anywhere in the world, we are made a permenant member of the Expanded Security Council & WE SHALL BE ACCORDED A NUCLEAR WEAPONS STATE STATUS by the UN & the Security Council.
