u say this in front of a mosque and u will go home in a body bag. in front of a church, well, u may be spat upon, in front of a hindu temple, well they will feast you and send u home ina palaquin.
i am not surprised at this from the centre. in fact one of their allies, DMK, AND ITS CHIEF KARUNANIDHIJI ONCE SAID' whenever hindus fast on certain days, it is madness. whereas during ID mmuslims fasting is good for the soul!!! this is a translation of his speech. well they even place a statue of periyar in front of hindu temples, that is big ones, carrying the foll message. who believes in GOD IS A FOOL, SCOUNDREL, ETC. THERE IS N O GOD, NO GOD AT ALL!!!! BUT THEY WILL GLADLY GO AND JOIN THE MUSLIMS DURING THE RAMZAN FAST BREAKING AND ATTEND CHRISMAS FUNCTIONS IN CHURCHES. SO THESE THINGS HAPPEN ALL OVER INDIA, SO I AM NOT SURPRISED AT THE CENTRES STAND ON LORD RAM. This stand from centre has the potential to bring down the government. So another change in the centre is imminent. NDA, prepare for this.
This is part of a very dangerous trend that has been going on for some time now - the riducluing, denigration and complete sidelining of anything "hindu" in national life and culture. These things are a question of belief, just as the Immaculate Conception is to Christians. It is terrifying that the government can take a stand like this today, and what is worse is that they will get away with it, since Hindus, as usual, do not have a voice and a body/organisation to represent them. We need a national organisation/body to represent our views. For those of you who think I am over-reacting, please consider what the reactions would have been if the goverment had dared to do something similar with Muslims or Christians?
Hindus, stand up for yourselves, because no one else will.
I will accept what government is saying if it is willing to accept that no proof of Allah and divinity of Koran exist. Furthermore, no proof of Christ taking birth from virgin exist.

It is shame for our country challanging the very existence of Lord Rama, and further the ram setu bridge. Its beyond tolerance and people daring to speak like this should be hanged. The tolerance level of hindus is being challanged. We should wake up and stop this at any cost.
Why people are dragging Hindu's Gods of fiction Ramayana into Adam,s bridge which is a creation of nature.Now that Govt has desided to cut short sea route by clearing the reef, why these lunatics-BJP,Vajrang Dal, Shiv Sainiks creating a fuss.Indians are sensible enough and does not represent the voices of BJP and Bal Thakarey

Sensible? Were muslims sensible when a fatwa was issued (and it still holds) against Salman Rushdie for writing a stupid book? When all the furore was caused over some cartoons made by some Norwegian cartoonist? I don't know if Lord Ram ever existed or not, but a wide majority of Hindus do believe in him, and that should be a reason enough not to proceed on this project. If the 'securlaist' government of India can ban a harmless movie like 'The Da Vinci Code' (The AP goevrnment did), can't it put this project on hold for the beliefs of 80% of its inhabitants?

You cannot dismiss faith as fiction. Just imagine a govt. organization claiming that there is no historical evidence of existence of Prophet Mohammad ! India is really a true secular unlike Pakistan or any of the muslim states of the world. But this kind of act will certainly tend the hindu masses to move towards these organizations.

FYI, cutting short the sea route does not cut short any money. The ships using the short cut has to be towed which would cost them more. The time saved would be hardly 2 hours. Considering the fact that all ships anyway harbour days in any port of India, 2 hours is negligible. Also remember digging that part of sea would jeopardise many organism in that part.
