Is it not ridicule and ironical that GoI is talking about historical evidence to establish the existence of Lord Ram or Ramayana or for that matter the entire Hinduism ??? This should be taken as dare devil of the present govt and all should come together to oppose the move of the present GoI irrespective of cast and even religion. We all follow some religion or other. And religions have some believes and faiths that need to be respected by all the people of the society. Govt or any of its body should not raise such issues that can heart the sentiment of one particular religion and its followers. Not only Hindus, rather everybody should oppose the move taken by Govt. and Archaeological Survey of India and reject the same. Archaeological Survey of India should keep in mind that science came later and it has taken many religious matter as challenge for them to prove. So religion and religious faith & believes cannot be rejected by saying that it does not have "historical record".

Ofcourse the Central Govt will give such an affidavit. Afterall the dispute relates to Hindus and their beliefs and the Hindus, although being a majority, have no voice. Would the Central Govt do the same thing if it concerned a minority?????
These stupid politicians will do anything for their greedy. This Sethusamudhram project itself is a criminal waste as it will not do any good for anybody. These idiots never realize the importance of having that man-made / natural bridge which prevented the total Tsunami disaster. If they destroy this natural bridge, believe, next Tsunami will totally destroy the Tamilnadu state. Even if they complete this project, certainly big ships can't pass thru this canel. So, why should we need to spend so much money on this. Instead of having this project, we could use this money in building good state-of-the-art infrastructure inside the country which will lead to have a good logistics operations for the entire country. Can some brain think over this in the Central Government and work forward on infrastructure constructions instead of this idiotic sea project? GOD, please save this country India from these stupid politicians.

The affidavit does not make any sense. If there is no proof of the existence of Ram avatara , then there is no proof to say that he did not exist either. Where is the proof that he does not exist now ? The affidavit is idotic and does not make sense. When something is called "ithihas"or "MYTHOLOGY" it will not have complete proof of so called history. And yet it would have a socialogical,geographical, cultural proof through varius writings at that time. That is why it is called "mythology". Now if govt. say that the rama sethu was gone or that we have not able to find it, will lead to different discussion . Instead Govt. saying that there is no proof for the existence of Ram or all the characters of Ramayan it is sheer non-sense. Where is the proof that they did not exist? Tomorrow ,there may not be a proof , that once upon a time Afganisthan existed. Today you can not prove that Khandhar was called Gandhara and from which place the queen of Mahabaharat Gandhari came. Can you prove the existence of a house in which Gandhari was born,grown up and played and from which she was forcefully brought by Bishma to Delhi to be married to the blind prince Drutharasta ? Where is the proof of her house in Kandhar of devils called Taliban and their jihad ? Show me , you stupid,idiot lawyers of Govt.of India? Where is the proof of river Sarawasthi described in Vedas? Where is the proof of Ravana's city of gold? where is all that Ravana's gold ,prove it you idiots.
