It was the practise in the vedic culture to record events in a unique way - the human brain... the details are passed down to generations in this manner... they did not see the need to take a piece of palm leaf and write it...coz they did not expect that the world would degenerate to such an extent that they would accept only caron-dating...
moreover, the veduc culture precedes all other forms of religion...
as regards the concept of god, as far as i know, there is no scientific proof in any of the religions... they are also a record of events....but in paper... thatz the only diff...
also, i have read the bible... or rather, had tried to read it... and I found it to be ridiculous... and here, I thought, are those who are sane enough to follow this, but when it comes to the vedic culture, they talk about pragmatism... as for islam... I think, the less said, the better...
Why is faith called thus... it is simply because there would be no reason, but still the mind reacts in a certain way... just as a loving child has faith in his/her mother... so are we in the matter of god...
when you ask for proof? what are you expecting... a piece of cloth belonging to rama... a bone or skin... any piece of architecture for carbon-dating?
the absence of one does not deny the presence of another...

Why shoud so-called god require a bridge to cross through sea when they are to be omnipresent, all powerful. Either such person was not a God or Sethu story is a fake one.

hi mr. joseph, well said. very agreeable view. moreover, i donno if some lord rama existed or not, nor do i really care. but just because there is no historical scientific proof that he did, should not be the reason to hurt feelings of millions of people.
though i feel ASI is right in submitting the report that there is no historical evidence of his existence. it is upto the authorities to decide if the matter is within the area of archaeological findings or beyond.

KS Sudarshan of RSS says that 80% of Muslims are local converts. Whereas, majority of Hindus are aryans, aliens. Hence who is to leave country? Surely, Hindus. As for faith, it is one's belief and which can't be imposed on others. Viz., I feel I am very clever, it is my faith. You may presume me a fool. It is your faith. But My height is 6 feet 4 inch. This is surely a matter of fact. My claim can surely be examined with measuring tape. Likewise, Lord Rama was a God is matter of faith, but he constructed a Sethu (under dispute) is a material/architecture. This a matter of fact and should be open to examine.
Once the new child is born only mother tells 'Dekho beta ye aapke pita hai'. Only on mothers word we believe it. Is any politician have asked their father to prove the relation. Now, the time has come for every Hindus to fight for their existance. SONIA is here to destroy INDIA. One should remember MOGHAL ruled India for 800 years & Britishers rulled India for 400 years. But no body could distroy HINDU'S.Time & again it has been proved that Moghals & Whites have rided India and Never Hindus have rided others. The time has come for HINDU'S to unit & act immidetly. Please brush up your knwoledge. Parenthood can be examined through DNA terst. Moghal could rule India only because of support from Hindu Rajputs. Raja Hari Singh was the Commander in chief of Aurangzeb. On other hand Maratha Muslim Pathans were bodyguards of Shivaji. Study history in to-to and not selectively.

This is a frontal assault on all Hindus and Hinduism. This is equivalent to saying Hinduism does not exist. If we have any shame at all we should do everything possible to throw this govt out. Even in the most advanced country like America, a member of different faith cannot get elected to the top post. We Hindus have a high tolerance and we are paying a price.
