Prophet Mohammed, a myth?
by Satish Bhat on Sep 12, 2007 06:11 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Will the ASI, or for that matter ANYBODY dare claim that Prophet Mohammed is a historical incongruity? They won't see the next morning alive....

Mr.Satish..Even though I'm not Muslim, please note the fact that Ramayana is "epic" but characters such as Prophet Mohammed or Buddha or Jesus or Mahaveera is "history".There is proof of their existence.

This is an affidavit filed by the ASI on the existence of the Ram Sethu. Why shd a statement on the authenticity of Ram and Ramayana be included in this affidavit.Very irresponsible. It must be at the behest of Baalu and his cohorts. The PM has to come out on this as it can needlessly create a major furore. It is not to be trifled with. When one can respect the majority religion in India why is a Hindu identity not evident?

hinduism is for eternity
by rajasekhar venkata on Sep 12, 2007 06:10 PM  Permalink

hinduism is for eternity. It is the only religion which practised non-aggression and non-invasion as a dharma.Today countries practising this sanatana dharma are comparatively more peaceful.whoever say anything, Hinduism is here to stay and the glories of Ram will reverberate in the ears of generations to come and forever.

This is a non viable project
by Pravin Sawle on Sep 12, 2007 06:10 PM  Permalink

Many naval hydrographers and experts suggest that the project is unlikely to be financially viable or serve ships in any significant way. The savings for ships that originate from Kanyakumari or Tuticorin is between 10 and 30 hours. For ships from other destinations like the Middle East, Africa, Mauritius and Europe, the average savings by using this canal is just 8 hours.

At the present tariff rates, ships from Africa and Europe will lose $ 4,992 on every voyage, as the savings in time for these ships are considerably lower that what is calculated in the DPR. This loss is significant as 65% of the projected users of the canal are those from Africa and Europe. If tariffs are lowered to a point where ships from Africa and Europe will not lose any money from using the canal, the IRR of the project falls to 2.6%! This is a level at which even public infrastructure projects are rejected by the government.

Thrash UPA
by Classified on Sep 12, 2007 06:10 PM  Permalink

The World History text book for the Social Science subject for 4th grade kids in Karnataka Schools starts with Jesus Christ, Prophet Md and goes on to cover Babar, Akbar, Kabir, MarcoPolo and other Christian and Muslim personalities - no mention of the Indian culture or the heritage that we have inherited since time immemorial - Congress is digging their own grave - Hindus should only unite togehther and teach these idiots a lesson - hit them where it hurts the most - in the polling booths...

Unnecessary act of secularism
by avinash kadam on Sep 12, 2007 06:10 PM  Permalink

I dont understand why Congress want to sell its secular image to Hindus only

Day by day, they are even ditsancing themselves from educated youth also. We are forced to believe the rightist hindus version now because the way govt is behaving. In the history of democracy, I dont think any govt would have behave so stupidly, ignoring and underestimating the religious sentiments of its people. None of the christian state in the world even had dare to ask the existance of Bible

Govt is sinking in its own way

Shame to the Govt for questioning for Ramayana ?

If we dont have the proof, does it questions the existance ?

I think ASI has to do its home work properly.
