Shiva (Shivam) is a state a person achieves in his lifetime. All the people who have so are coronated with the title "easwara". Shani = shaneeswara, triambek-eswara etc... If you need stories about shiva, you must read the puranas. Nobody really knows if the stories about jesus or the prophet is true. And their holy places too. All that we do is believe. Where rationalism ends, spiritualism starts.
i think this is politics... nothing else....and the politicians r playing the cards....why SC involving Hinduism...it may start a conflict in india.....
when SriLankan govt is not able to fight with LTTE over the decades, this so called new venture by the CG will allow all anti-social elements to creap in India. Already, we are suffering a lot with anti-social elements from Pakisthan, Bangladesh and other parts...why should we take risk by constructing this 'Sethu' and encourage anti-social elements from SriLanka.

hey i think i misunderstood. LTTE uses only small boats to cross this place. so if the path is created the indian navy can guard it efficiently with its fleets reducing the antisocial activities. i belong to the coastal area so i know wat is the impact of LTTE on these areas.
SCIENTISTS NEVER CHALLENGE THE EXISTENCE OF GOD. THE MANIFESTATIONS IN NATURE ARE SO UNSTABLE THAT EVEN THE SCIENCE SO FAR KNOWN TO HUMAN HISTORY HAS FAILED TO DEFINE THEM.
SCIENCE IS ONLY EVOLVING. SCIENCE IS UNCERTAINTY WITH PROOF, AND FAITH IS CERTAINTY WITHOUT PROOF.
IF HISTORICAL RECORDS ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO PROVE THE EXISTENCE OF LORD RAMA THEN WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE?
DID AMERICA NOT EXIST BEFIRE COLUMBUS? IT IS SHEER MYOPIC THAT WE FALL BACK ON LIMITED RECORDS CALLED HUMAN HISTORY.
WHO IS THAT GREAT FOOL TO SAY THAT WE DO NOT EXIST BECAUSE HISTORY HAS NO RECORD OF HOW HUMAN FORM CAME INTO BEING. LET DWARWIN NOT DABBLE IN GENETICS. MONKEY CANNOT EVOLVE INTO HUMAN FORM. WE HAVE NO HISTORY OF OUR FOREFATHERS AND THEREFORE WE DO NOT EXIST??. IS THAT OK? NO GOVT IN THE WEST LOOK AT CHRIST THAT WAY. OF COURSE WE ARE SECULAR.

Excellent arguments... In fact so many of our historical monuments/artifacts have been either looted or destroyed by the Mughal and the British. If not for the work of archaeologists, we wouldn't have believed that cities like Mohenjedaro and Harappa existed. But, we should accept that there is much more to be unearthed to produce 'scientific' evidence to our known historical facts.
Every one should respect Mythological believe. It does not need scientifically or logical prove. It is true as long as peoples believe in it and does not harm to society. This is Ram: Government should protect belief of every individual.
