What crap are you talking about man, don't try to deviate from the course, I am myself a punjabi, rather a Sikh and have done lots of research and studies on Ramayan and Mahabharta.
There is quite a evidence that this bridge did exist but the sorry part is our own people stiing at the don want to dig into the facts and rather put the money, allocated for research, in there pockets. FYI search for Vartak Ramayan on google.

Teach these rats a lesson
by V H on Sep 12, 2007 09:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This cowboy government did not have to stoop this low while discussing Ram Sethu. There was absolutely no need to go after Lord Ram and his authenticity. Indian, Hindus, if you have any shame left in you, teach this government a lesson by registering the protest every where

Sad state of affairs
by crazyforsense on Sep 12, 2007 09:32 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Beliefs of millions of people must be respected, regardless of whether there is evidence to substantiate those beliefs or not. It is unfortunate the Govt couldn't handle the situation more deftly.

I dont understand why they couldn't agree on any of the 6 other alternate routes proposed to Ram Setu. I am not a Hindu, but I empathize with the issue at hand here. Regardless of the evidence, the Govt should try to explore alternate routes and preserve this as a heritage site. End of the day beliefs are beliefs not scientific facts, but people make a nation not just scientific facts.

Thanks for the comments. A belief, if not harmful to other physically, mentally should not be ridiculed. Science is based on belief because they base their logic finally on proton, neutron, electron assuming they don't change their charges.

why islam is being dragged into this controversy???
by yaseer rizwan on Sep 12, 2007 09:32 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This is in response to all the ppl who hv posted thr messages here in response to the above topic.
The issue is all about centre telling supreme court that lord rama never existed.Neither was centre's counsel a muslim nor was the judge any muslim or sikh or christian.i just dont understand why are minorities being dragged into it.Plus, its really pathetic to see that our gods are being blatantly abused.I just dont see any convincing reason why prophet muhammad or jesus christ shud bear the wrath of these ppl who are irked over stand of govt of india & supreme court???
It's really disgusting & sad to see the plight of mindset of a common indian at a point of time which is being touted as "historic in terms of economic growth".

What it has to do with North-south? There's no North-South issue. We're one as Hindus and Indians.
