RE:RE:No Prove of Allah either

Give me ONE example where Muslims are claiming land/property based on Islamic Beliefs ???

Name One...

Existence of ALLAH is a belief. Birth of Prophet Jesus by his Mother Mary, who was a Virgin, is also a belief. But based on that belief a MUSLIMS or Christians should NOT and CANNOT claim rights on a property. He/she should own that property LEGALLY.

You may dis-agree with the existence of ALLAH. That is ur faith.

But Muslims are not claiming any Land/Property/Right based on their belief in ALLAH.

See the difference.
Sonia gandhi is not claiming anyone elses property based on her Belief !!!

Some people gave me the following issues.

Babri Majid - title deed of the land is in the name of a Muslim trust (Wakf Board)

Qutub Minar - Is a historic site, property of the Nation

Taj Mahal - Is a historic site, property of the Nation

Kashmir - It is a political issue. Just as the NorthEast.

Palestine - The JEWS claim Palestien based on the Torah...The Arabs/Jews/Christians were the INHABITANTS of that land. Whya re JEWS migrating from Europe/Russia/US to Israel ???

The remit of history to include the historian's pre-narrative assumptions and how we translate those assumptions figuratively as we construct our strategies of narrative explanation. Postmodern historians thus ask many fresh questions. Are facts best thought of as events under a description? Is all data ultimately textual and, if so, what are its implications? Should history be written primarily according to literary rules and, if so, what are they? What is the significant difference between literary and figurative speech in history and how does it create historical meaning? How do we distinguish the historical referent of a discourse and its constructed, i.e., its ideological, meaning? Can history ever exist beyond discourse? And the very big question, is history what happened, or what historians tell us happened? All these have to be addressed when we do history, to ignore them is to do only half the job.

Rama Setu
by Surendra Dixit on Sep 12, 2007 10:03 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Well, whether the Rama Setu was a man made object or not is not the question. The question is that of the belief of countless Hindus. By destroying the Setu, one would be hurting the sentiments of the majority community. Proof does not exist does not mean events did not occur. What if it is discovered tomorrow that Ramayana was truth by some scientific means. Can the Rama Setu be re built? People in India, who live in places that were on the path of Rama to Lanka believe strobgly that Rama passed through their place and regard it highly. Sometimes, efficiency of the modern age must be given up for the beliefs of people.

You have said it properly..but can it not be taken in this way..a project coming over there would give a lot of work to the unorganised labours their daily wages..may be me and you dont have to wrk like that..but there cud be others who would benefit from the project..is it not logical to give some thousands of people two times meal a day rather than belief that there is rams bridge? it would be godly act..wont it be??

Do you think this kind blog opinions is cared by anyone?
by Your BALAJI on Sep 12, 2007 10:01 PM  Permalink

Is it really worth exchanging our view in this kind of blogs?

By the bye, some of our brothers (practising other religions) say that there is no proof for Ram's existence.

Is there any proof or evidence that Mohd. ascended from the holy mosque in Jerusalem?

Jerusalem, Palestine, etc., is the main dispute between Christians/Jews and Muslims.

Try to understand guys.

Faith (or belief) has no meaning except the meaning which we give to it.

Let's try to respect others' faith (as long as it doesn't kill us).

The bottomline: May be I am wasting my time thinking that my opinon is going to be considered by someone (who has real influence over decision making).

Truth of talking monkeys and bed-time stories are debatable -

But there were certainly 53 year old desert bandits roaming around raping 9 year olds claiming it is the will of Allah!! And that is undeniable truth :)
