No Evidence of Sri Rama
by Sundara Vardhan on Sep 12, 2007 11:01 PM  Permalink

Dangerous precedence set by GOI, GOTN and ASI. There is no evidence of God in any color, shape or hue of any faith in the world. We all have faith and hope. By questioning the existence of Sri Rama, insult has been heaped on the religious of all religions past, present and future. This means that any place of worship can be destroyed by the govt as there is no existence of God. Well there was ASI evidence of a Ram temple beneath the Babri Masjid, but so far no temple has been built. What has been already presented in the Vedas are being discovered today by scientists world over - Quatum Physics, Particle Physics etc. So there is some truth in all our scriptures. Even if Sri Rama did not exist, the faith of millions do exist. At least that has to be considered

Hindu tolerance tested - harmful to indian society
by Vijay on Sep 12, 2007 11:01 PM  Permalink

I have been a secularist all my life. i have never ever thought about religion outside my home, and have never voted for a party with religion in mind. i never see religion in a person and i keep my religion within me. i'm a devout brahmin, but to me not hurting another human being and being honest with moral values matters most than anything else. in fact that is what is said in vedanta and understanding vedanta led me to believe that all human beings are equal and religion is a path for renunciation. but, the actions of congress is frustrating me and im feeling the want to defent my religion. congress, the dravida parties and other pseudo secular intellectuals, in the name of secularism are going to large lengths to appease minorities and bring back caste system (in the form of reservation) in to the sociey. this is not good and they dont realise the harm they are causing to the society. this is a time when people should be encouraged to be more tolerant and the greatness of hinduism and india lies in its tolerance and at the moment they are testing the extent of tolerance.

90% TAMILNADU STILL BELIEVE IN GOD AND RELIGION...
by MGR Fan on Sep 12, 2007 11:00 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Many north Indians mistakenly assume that all Tamils are like the Yellow Towel leader or his bearded onion loving Guru.

Infact, Tamilians are more religious and god fearing than many other states and there are much less atheists than in communist bengal or kerala. TN has more temples than any other state. The DMK does not represent all the people of TN. During last elections, DMK got only 25% of the votes.

This should clear all doubts. TN people know that their politicians are rogues and they tend to get ahead with their life without them. Without Religion and God, there is no life in TN.

You are entitled to admire anyone, even a non-entity like D [espicable] M [inded} K [arunanidhi], but don't expect others to follow you. Karunanidhi has no redeeming qualities. He is a mean minded, petty and selfish person who suffers from megalomania, which is fed by people like Sonia. His was an extortionist regime which was why he was kicked out for 13 years and begged and cajoled the people in every election from 1977 to 1989 to elect him again. He got his chance in 1989 after MGR's unfortunate death. TN is still suffering his misdeeds. Where else would a minister lead a band of thugs in destroying Railway property? He had only one house in his name in 1957. How has he become a billionaire now? Even now he does not have the magnamity to donate to worthy causes, which MGR never failed to do. Which is why MGR won three elctions in a row and would have won the fourth also but for his death. This man, your favourite, is a worthless person devoid of merits. All this will never change your devotion for Karunanidhi, but think twice before posting anything eulogising him.

Leadership in what? Forming hate against a particular community. Abusing women leaders. Calling opposition people drunkard. Your Yellow towel cult is a cult of hate. Read the literature to find out the extent of hate against Hindu religion. Why dont you shed your mask and openly declare that you are an atheist, looking for chance to attack a religion and a group?

Respect Relegious Sentiments - Faruk
by on Sep 12, 2007 10:58 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I feel such researches will distance Indian brothers from one another. We already have enough issues. Please don't bring a new issue.Certain incidents and aspects in every relegion cannot be proved but only can be believed. This research must hurt our Hindu brothers deep and I wish Islamic and Christian brothers to stand by them. Religion is faith and I request so called genius people to stop hurting others faith. You can't prove immaculate conception and so is Prophet Muhammad's ascending of heaven. We believe in our respective religions and hold it to be true without disturbing anybody.

Dear Pankaj, I believe your mother must be an angel to me and so is my mother to me. All I request as a fellow human being from you is not ask proof about my claim. I respect your rational thinking and so I respect the faith of others and mine. isn't there enough space in this world to live with our faiths peacefully? Why are we so much excited in proving the other faith to be wrong? If you don't believe monkeys cannot build a bridge - no problem, don't go to a temple or a mosque or a church but help your believing brother go there and exercise his faith in non-threatning ways to others.

Pankaj it applies to all religions. What is a matter of faith cannot be an item of research. This holds good for Hinduism as it does for Islam and Christianity.

Well said Faruk. As for Dipak Daga, no one thought that man would land on the moon 100 years ago, they thought Galileo was stupid and evil. I'm not implying that a bunch of monkeys did fly there, but a bunch of men did land on the moon. So if you can make the co-relation then go ahead. Its all about faith, if that makes any sense to you. Rational thoughts would have stopped man from landing on the moon, but all of those men were following christians, not athiests.

IF WE REALLY ARE INDIANS WE SHOULD RESPECT THE PAST HISTORY THAT RAMAYANA WAS THERE EXISTED AND RAMA LIVED AND AYODYA IS THE BIRTH PLACE OF RAMA.EVEN A CHILD HAD HEARD THIS STORY WHEN IT WAS STILL BORN.
SO IT IS IMPARATIVE TO SAY THAT THOSE WHO IGNORE THIS RAMAYANA SHOULD BE IGNORED AND REST OF THE INDIANS TO SUPPORT THE FEELINGS OF RREAL INDIANS WHO ARE AGAINST CONSTRUTION OF NEW WAY
I HIGHLY AND WITH GREAT FEELINGS OF ALL TRUE INDIANS OPPOSE THE MOVE TO DESTROY THE OLD SETHU OF RAM AND IF ANY BODY WANTS TO DO SO WILL BE CURSED BY ALL TRUE INDIANS
