Nothing is new and nothing will change in Pak either its democracy or autocracy. They don't understand the difference b/w them. Pak will remain the same either its Gen Mush or Shariff, atlest we can't trust both of them

Not entirely true... Bhutto and Sharif fall under the fundamentalist type of politicians... At least Sharif has the support and the ability to rally the fundamentalists to bring cross border terrorism to its peak... Always remember that cross border terrorism peaked during his tenure... Bhutto on the other hand has little or no respect in Pakistan's power corridor... She is a very very pale shadow of her father...

But Musharaff at least is "controlled" in his reactions and view towards fundamentalism... He is trying to modernise Pak's outlook and the way the world perceives Pakistan... Pakistan is just a hair's breadth away from being labelled as a "terror sponsorer"... Musharaff being conscious of this, is "trying" to veer Pakistan from fundamentalism towards a "relatively moderate" outlook....

Its better if both Bhutto and Sharif stay out of Pakistan's power lobby... Because both have the capacity to shoot off their guns all on their own without provocation...!!! And then look on bewildered when they are "manhandled" by popular uprisings / coups...!!!

As an individual India born Mush a career soldier has more hatred towards India,as a defeated soldier .He is well aware of consequences otherwise the mentality of Mush could instantly nuke India.
Sharif,Bhutto or any elected head of pak govt has to maintain balance between army,fundamentalists,anti-indians,west and oilrich islamic states and pak intellectuals and moderates. This is not an easy going in a feudal, fundamentalist and poor religious society pak have.
Mush has no option but to dance to the tune of USA in a changed world after 9/11.THIS IS TO INDIA'S ADVANTAGE.So we can say, agree and believe that Mush is better for us as he is helpless and surrounded by problems.

by Vijay Kurhade on Sep 11, 2007 03:42 PM  Permalink

Wasnt he thrown out for huge corruption.
Both Bhutto & Nawaz have been anti India all the time. So dont cry for them; they deserve nothing.

Mussharaf on other hand; US is toying him a lot so left him on his fate.

After all, Mushraff let Sharif to touch down. Sharif's order, when Mushraff was returning from Sri Lanka prior to the coup, was not to let Mushraff land in Pakistan! Mushraff is a big hearted man.

Jospeh,
You seem to live in a very simple world :-)

How easily have you argued and reached to the conclusion that Musharraf is a big hearted man!

Wish we could all live in this highly simplistic world!

Chill Super user..!!!

Joseph was using a metaphor..!!!

What he actually means is that Sharif is the same person who jeopardised the life of all the passengers on the plane when he did not allow the plane to land ONLY because Musharaff was on board... !!! At least Mushie allowed Sharif to let his trembling feet stand on firm ground before givin him a dose of Sharif's very own home brewed medicine..!!!

Well said..!!! I dont think Nawaz Sharif deserves any respect... This is the same person who jeopardised the life of all the passengers on the plane that he did not allow to land ONLY because Musharaff was on board... Now that he got a taste of his own medicine... he started whimpering and protesting..!!!! What a joke..!!! At least Prez Musharraf has the common sense to NOT jeopardise other human beings because of one person he does not like..!!!

Riped Fruit of Pakistan
by rkjack on Sep 11, 2007 03:40 PM  Permalink

The current situation of the Pakistan is seed formed seven years ago by the General Musharraf by stabbing India from back in the form of Kargil war inspite of the warm welcome given by the then PM of India Vajpeyee ji. Now, Pakistan has to ripe the juice of that seed. And in near future Pakistan will be no where in the world just like Iraq, it will get collasped completely by America very soon. Peportation of Nawaz Sarif to SA was planned by the America, for your kind information.

Now Over Mr Justice Iftikhar Chaudhri Saheb, the Paki Sense of rule of Law....

Panchkula Afternoon , 3.20pm, 11th Sept.2007
Well, it is in the first Instance the honable Supreme Court of Pakistan and more specifically CJ Iftiqar Chouwdury to give a ruling to Gen. Musharraf and his authoritarian
commandos Under Lt. Col. Kazi , for the ugly and barbaric treatment they have given to an unarmed ex-Prime-Minister of Pakistan.Newaz Sharif has been attacked, humiliated and assaulted, it is uncivilized behaviour and any sane person would think Pakis to feel sorry for the sort of authoritarian rulers they willingly
permit themselves to be dictated to ....Let silver lining of voice of Justice and reason speak through the verdict of Contempt for violation of the permission granted by the Supreme-Court by its Bench under Justice Chowdhury. It does not require in common Law followed in the sub-continent any public appeal , that suo-Motto the Chief-Justice as custodian of Constitution and guardian of liberties of Pakistani Citizens must without delay make it clear to Power-drunk appartchicks of current ruling clique that they stand condemned in the eyes of entire Mankind this hour... A shame to Qaide . a peerless Barrister and Juris-consul of this Subcontinet of the Last Century...
