I think you should read couple more articles on the long term impact of Hyde act before commenting on this topic.
I's earlier blindly against the left's opposition to the N-deal, however I went thru' what few scientists had to say abt the long term impact of the deal.
---Ultimately USA is promising Reactors and not fuel, thats the crux of the matter.
--- After CONGRESS invests HUGE portion of TAX PAYER's MONEY into building the reactors, if we dont get the fuel, we'll be soon closing down the reactors.
---Also if we go against US's interests , US would have the right to TURN-OFF the reactors by blocking the FUEL. ---Instead India could invest the same money in building INDEGENOUS REACTORS, WE DONT NEED US for that !!! .... Think Abt IT !!
Left parties are missing the point. They are still living in cold war era. China took help from USA to become powerfull country. Now China is afraid of Same thing happenning to India. They always wanted to contain India. Now the deal is not good for China and it makes Lefties unhappy. That's the reason they are conducting this protests. If any left guy talks about it, tell them that we didn't forget the betrayal of Left parties and China in 1962.

Boss: China has created this balance over time where they can show the middle finger to the US and walk out. There is 1.3 trillion Yuan invested in US treasury..China can anyday hold US at ransom over this.. India has not created such bargaining power..
Anyone who thinks US will love India over China is a fool. China is a bigger market, a more productive market force and more strategic trade partner to the US.

You are right about the business between China and the US. But US is not that stupid to let China to show their middle finger. They need work, they need investment this is not a policial game. PURE BUSINESS. Who the hell is gonna invest this much other than US and Europe. RUSSIA? Your statment is filled with pure communist mentality. I dont think any country gonna show middle finger at the US.They all need US ivestment and business.Above all US has good influnce among EU and Japan.
