State of affairs in AP
by Vaishnavi chowdary on Sep 09, 2007 11:40 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Bloody corrupt government wants to destroy guiness record holder Ramoji Film City too whereas elsewhere in the world it would be one of the most protected places and pride of that place! For revenge it is being broken down..that is the state of affairs in this AP and this country. This accident seems to be a way of population control for the corrupt government. Not a single project is upto half its mark atleast

Fly-Over Quality
by santosh srivastav on Sep 09, 2007 11:38 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I have an observation here and

Base of observation:

I feel more or less the Corrupt politicians will be looking for any oppurtunity to loot public money ........

Say the budget allocated was 100 rupees and out of which only 30-40% would have been used for actual construction of flyover....

Now the flyover is not able to face heavy rainfall which is suppose to withstand the earth quakes, tsunami kind of floods, heavy load of vehicles travelling on it...now if this is the case with one flyover....like wise we have another 5 Flyovers which are under construction in various places in HYD.........I am sure they are of the same quality as same authority is invloved in it and same corrupt politicians are involved............

at the max State Govt will form a committee to investigate the issue and after few days people will forget the incident so is Govt......

GOD PLS FLUSH OUT THESE CORRUPT POLITICIANS FROM THIS WORLD

It Was So Predictable...
by Raja Subramanian on Sep 09, 2007 11:30 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I live in Hyderabad not too far from the flyovers and it was extremely saddening to get this news. I used to pass through the same area everyday to commute to work, and everytime I went anywhere near those flyovers instinct told me they were never safe. Begumpet is in the heart of the city, and the volume of traffic is just huge in that particular area. What made me feel exremelely unsafe were the following:

(01) There were absolutely no indications in some areas there was construction activity. I remember several motorists were injured over time when a huge hole was being dug for foundation of one of the pillars, and this caught the motorists unawares. The traffic police, the construction group and the Govt. should have taken adequate steps to prevent this.

(02) Given that there was absolute chaos with traffic in that area (and everywhere else in Hyd), there was just nobody to regulate anything. Basically there was construction material strewn all over the road, and huge construction equipment strewn all over the place.

(03) The way the traffic was regulated, people were forced to travel between and under the construction areas. One particular area was located at an extremely weird angle and had a narrow passageway for just one car - there were construction scaffolding on all other side. I thought manay a time that it would be an absolute disaster if someone hit the scaffolding there.

Clearly this is a case of negligence and the guilty should be severely punished

Sheets of iron, huge steel erections, they always presented a dangerous sight. Did not expect this in the wildest dream. Not just negligence, it is a result of greed, negligence, over exploitation of space and was heading nowhere.

It's Not Even a Heavy Rainfall !!!!
by dora babu on Sep 09, 2007 11:29 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If you compare the rain that hyderabad witnessed on this unfortunate evening was NOT heavy at all. It's medium rain for 30 to 45 mins. Heavy rain for two hrs in Hyd means, the city is under flood waters!!! Mediocratic people elected Mediocratic, corrupt government. Hence paying the penalty, it seems. It's fate of A.P people to have a demon CM who sucks public blood. Anyway it could be a good news under disguise to APCC cheif KK. Now he can manipulate all evidences against his killer son and depict the murder as suicide. May God Save A.P people
