Soldiers & Sanjay Dutt!!!!! Shame on the media!!!
by narinder kumar on Sep 10, 2007 07:21 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Surfing through the middle pages of various newspapers &news channels, one comes across the supreme sacrifices being made by Indian Army soldiers, like Capt Harshan, almost everyday.
But it is Sanjay Dutt which still rules stupid Indian channels & media. A suspect in Mumbai bomb blasts, convicted under armory act, being transformed into a hero. Sure Sanjay Dutt has a daughter; Sure he did not do any terrorist activity. Possessing an AK47 is considered too elementary in terrorist community and also one who possesses an AK47 has a right to possess a pistol so that again is not such a big crime; Sure Sanjay Dutt went to all the
temples; Sure he did a lot of Gandhigiri but then..

So that we enjoy compfortably in our homes, our soldiers attack these terrorist camps, killing these terrorists, sometimes losing their own lives in the process to the bullets fired from an AK47. They are also survived by a wife and sons/daughters (just like Sanjay Dutt).
They have never said 'I have a child' before they take the decision to attack the terrorists in the darkest of nights. At that moment, they never think about having a family and being the bread earner.
But NO news channels will cover this since they are too busy hyping a former drug addict, a suspect who's linked to bomb blasts which killed hundreds. Their aim was to show how he defied the TADA charges and they were so successful that his conviction in possession of armory had no meaning. They also concluded that his parents i

Well said Narinder. I totally agree with that. It's not only shame on the media but nation too. But don't you agree that media shows what we all are interested in watching? Today these chichore, rogues have become role models for our children. I don't know what will happen to our future generation. People like Harshan should be the role models of the youth. They have not only made their parents proud but to all of us who have the desire to fight evil. I SALUTE you mother (Harshan's mother) and all other mothers too who give birth to such brave children who sacrifice their lives so that other can live peacefully, happily.

I wonder how many of us know even 3 names of the PVC winners, the highest gallantry award of the country(usually awarded posthumously) ? I won't even ask about MVC, Ashok Chakra & so many other gallantry awards. I am sure most of the people are not even aware of the names of the gallantry awards, leave alone the real life heroes who won those!!!
Then ask anyone about these filmi chaps! Dozens of names will be rattled off just like that.
I wonder if anyone is even aware of the salaries of our fauji bhais? A Commanding Officer who commands about 800 soldiers to the battle field & everywhere else, has a salary of around 40,000 rupees per month (Before taxes!). The day is not far when these brave souls also might be enamoured by the glitz of materialistic world. Army is already short of officers. Soon we will have corrupt ones too.

With such a "grateful" nation, probably we will deserve it too!!!
