%u201CThere is no place for terrorism in Hyderabad where Muslims enjoy one of the best socio-economic conditions in the country. As Owaisi said in an interview to Hindustan Times, %u201CBilal%u201D, the India chief of the Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HuJI) is behind terror incidents in the city.

Vedant says Ekm Brahma (Ultimate is ONE)God is infinite. finite mind cannot stretch out for infinity, beyond capacity as it is infinite Iswar has never created any duplicate no two person are same, flowers, birds, anything which we can think of and beyond our thinking, he has never copied he has made everything and his any creation or everything is infinnite. He has created so many Religion . Why he has created infinite no of philosophy, that only he knows. We are living in finite level that s why we think that in whichever religious enviorment we have been brought up is only correct and rest are rubbish. We are only to follow our system of prayer not to think about others as downgraded (nitch,Shudra or Kafir) Allah has not given us the power of underestimating others ,which are also his part.
This may be nearer to UNIVERSAL RELIGION

The Subtleties of the Almighty...

In scientific terms...

matter = male version of god (brahma, vishnu or shiva...)
energy = female version of god (saraswati, lakshmi, devi...)

Force = mass (read matter) * acceleration (read energy)

this is how universe is formed.

sanskrit is a language in which a single word can have many meanings and hence it is important to examine each phrase very carefully... upanishads tell of this very fact... explaining it via idols/pictorial form is very easy and an advanced thinker would grasp the truth...

this is the essence which the vedic books teach about...

so, jgn... what we call science is only the alter ego of god...

Dear Seshadri, science is not alter ego of god. If you have time, please read The Necessity of Atheism by Dr. D.M. Brooks available on www.gutenberg.org and also visit the website www.positiveatheism.org There are many other good websites from which we can get more information.

Almost 2/3rd of all wars fought by the mankind were in the name of Religions and non-existent gods. Also it is a fallacy to believe that belivers are less prone to commit crimes and we can see from our every day life. A study conducted in the Jails of Sri Lanka some time back revealed that less than 1/3rd of one percent inmates were atheists and rest were followers of different religions. So much for the belief in the almighty!

dear jgn, my point is not to justify the wars fought in the name of the almighty...

it is an explanation to look "out of the box" on the concept of god... i have read the book on atheism, which you had mentioned in your earlier posts... and it is a good observation... that is all! there are many fallacies and asumptions that are taken for granted in the book...
"science is not alter ego of god" - why not? the book about atheism is one way of looking at it? the mystery of the universe is one which would ever evade mankind(?) and it might be the same quest that has created god.. who knows...

Can atheism answer the following questions:

1. Total size of the universe.
2. How many universes are there.
3. Life after death.
4. Why is someone born rich and other born as poor.
5. Why do we die.
6. Why innocent people are killed.
7. Why some children die when they even did not live their life properly.

Theists can answer all these questions. The Vedic scriptures tell us everything which we see, perceive, we have discovered and invented PLUS Vedic scriptures also tell us the things beyond our perception.

Just because we cannot see God with our materialistic imperfect eyes, so the best policy is to deny His existence.

JGN, a person in USA has not seen or met you. So he denies ur existence. Does this mean that you cease to exist?
But if the person wants to meet u, he will have to fly all the way to the place where u live and then meet u. Similarly, there is a specific process and by following that path we can also see and meet God. But by denying His existence, we will never even attempt to start the process.

Sheshadri,

Pls tell me from where you got this information.
In Bhagvad Gita, Lord Krishna clearly tells that matter (prakriti) is His inferior energy and living entities(Jiva) are hid intermediate energy.

You can check 4th and 5th verses of the 7th chapter of Bhagvad Gita.

Brahma and Mahesh are under the influence of Maya but Vishnu is never under the influence of three modes of material nature.

The bahiranga shakti of Krishna is maya (durga) but then there is also antaranga shakti of Krishna which is called the internal potency or hladini shakti. This potency id sac-cid-ananda and is free from three modes of material nature. This potency manifests the supremely spiritual eternal kindom of God.

na tad bhashyate suryo na shashanko na pavakkah
yad gatva na nivartante tad dham paramam mam.

"After reaching that Supreme abode of mine, no body returns back" . Which is that Supreme abode?

so it is really offensive to bring Vishnu/Krishna under the control of Maya. Maya does not control Krishna, its Krishna who controls maya. Maya is darkness and Krishna is sun. Wherever there is Krishna, there is no darkness.

It is really a joke to call Vishnu as matter ! what a deluding philosophy !

What is this fictitious thing called Soul, which all religions except Buddhism believe in? Some believe equate soul with life, others think it is mind and that heart is the seat of it. Let us consider the following:

1)      Soul cannot be in the heart. If so, a funny situation will of exchanging souls will arise while transplanting hearts.
2)      Soul cannot be in the head as the headless body of some insects can continue to live after decaptition.
3)      Soul cannot be diffused in the whole body as bodies of lower animals which can take oxygen through body can be fragmented into small pieces and each piece is capable of growing into a new organism.
4)      Some times human fetus in womb may divide into two, three or four and develop into identical off-springs. In that case will be girls or boys have only part of a soul?
5)      A dead body can be revived artificially even after several years as it can be done in cryogeny. Does the departed soul re-enter the resuscitated body? In that case, where was the soul in the intervening period?
6)      If a person has several grafted organs and tissues in his body, will that person possessing fragments of several souls?

So, it is clear that there is nothing called soul and consequently the concept of saving of souls (riddance from the cycle of births and re-births as per Hindu mythology) is also an absurd concept.

The material body is composed of eight material elements:

bhumi rapo analo vayuh kham mano buddhirev cha
ahankara itiyam membhinna prakratir istadha

Earth, fire, water, air, sky, mind, intelligence and false ego.

The soul is the innermost core covered with subtle body of mind intelligence and false ego. This subtle body is further covered with gross body of five elements namely earth, water, fire, air and sky.

It is not the gross heart but the subtle mind when we refer that soul is in hrydayam. The dimensions of the soul are mentioned in our scriptures.
When you cut the tip of a hair into 100 parts, and then each such part, again cut it into 100 parts, then whatever is the dimension of each part is the dimension of the soul. Hence, it is obviously not practical for us to perceive the soul by seeing.

But we can perceive it by examining that the same body when alive protests even if we pinch it, but on being dead, cut the body into 100 pieces and it will not protest. it is because the protesting element, the soul has left the body.

The soul's original constitutional position is that of being eternal, full of knowledge and full of bliss.
But in material condition of life, the soul's artificial position is reflected which is temporary (death), ignorance (lack of spiritual knowledge) and full of miseries (birth, death, old age, disease). It is not that the acceptance of soul is awkward, but actually the denial of soul and its eternal relationship with Supersou

But in material condition of life, the soul's artificial position is reflected which is temporary (death), ignorance (lack of spiritual knowledge) and full of miseries (birth, death, old age, disease). It is not that the acceptance of soul is awkward, but actually the denial of soul and its eternal relationship with Supersoul is awkward.
To realise the eternal relationship with the Supersoul is the process to cure the disease. There are three steps described: sambandha, abhideya and prayojana.
i.e relationship with supreme Lord, what is the method to revive that relationship and the real goal of life.

The Vedic scriptures are not mythological. They describe Science, Physics, Mathematics (so-called Pythagoras theorem is already metioned in our scriptures. complicated mathematical calculations are already present)., Medicine etc PLUS it they also describe that which is beyond our perception, i.e the Super science of soul. Which other material book in this entire world contains such a gem of knowledge?

To forget ones relationship with Supreme is the diseased condition of the soul. To attempt to revive that relationship is to cure the disease. To deny the existence of God and Supersoul is to increase the diseased condition.
To deny the existence of God and His part and parcels is itself foolish.

What you have said above is true...

Soul is only the identity which gives eveyone their "I ness"... which is why yogis say that relinquishing "I" would enable us to merge with the brahman...

which would also answer to your questions above...

so it is clear that what we term sould is an identity... and hence the cycle of birth and rebirth would hold good!!!

Hyderabad: Alleging police harassment in the name of investigations into the Aug 25 twin bomb

blasts, the families of some arrested youth Tuesday threatened to come out on the streets if their wards were not

released immediately.

Civil rights activists have claimed that police have picked up over 40 youths since the blasts that claimed 44 lives,

but neither were their arrests declared nor were they produced in court.

The mothers and sisters of the youngsters, who included daily wage earners, told a news conference here that they were

picked up by plainclothes policemen from different places in the city but their fate was unknown.

"My younger son Wasey was taken away by police from my house on Thursday. As a precaution I had sent his elder brother

Rafey with him. But none of them has returned. I don't know where they are. I have lost my sleep. Have mercy on us and

please return my sons," said Mujeebunnisa, an elderly widow.

Zaheda Begum, mother of Rayees Ahmad, said that he was taken away by two policemen in civil dress when he was

returning home from work in Secunderabad area.

"He has already faced a lot of harassment at the hands of the police since the blast in the (May 18) Mecca Masjid. He

lost his earlier job and his engagement was broken because of the police action," she said with tears rolling down her

cheeks.

Ghousia Begum, mother of auto driver Abdul Raheem, said her son was dragged from home by the police Monday night. "He

is the sole bread earner of the family. I am a heart patient and I do not have the money even for my medicine. I am

not able to understand why we are being harassed and tortured like this. Where should we go for justice?"

Arifunnisa, another elderly woman, said that her son and a medical student Ibrahim Ali Junaid had Friday returned from

Delhi after attending a conference at the Jamia Millia Islamia and went to his hostel.

"He called from there to say that he was coming home but never reached home. On inquiry we were told that some persons

dragged him away soon after he made the phone call," she said.

Nusrat said her brother Zulfiqar was taken away from home five days ago. Zulfiqar, a sweetmeat maker, was the sole

bread earner for the family.

"I am running from one police station to the other to find out the whereabouts of my brother. I want to ask Chief

Minster Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy whether this is his government or the police Goonda Raj," she said.

Civil Liberties Monitoring Committee secretary Lateef Mohammed Khan alleged that 40 to 50 Muslims youths were picked

up and illegally detained by police since the blasts. The committee, however, released a list of 21 youths.

He claimed that they were kept at illegal detention and torture centres run by police. "These youth were kept

blindfolded and were being tortured to make them admit involvement in the blasts," said Khan.

"This is being done to tarnish the image of the community and portray all the Muslims as culprits," he said.

He demanded that the investigations into the blasts be conducted in a transparent manner as people had a right to know

about the culprits.

He threatened that if the demands were not met the organisation along with the victims will launch an agitation

against the government and police. "We will also question those leaders who had appealed to the Muslim community in

the last elections to vote for the Congress party," he said.
