Let me tell u I come frm Calcutta the Cultural capital of India .....But after staying in Mum i say that Culture is not in creativity in Arts but its in the heart of Mumbai people that they show to rest of India.Mumbai is the only city which has a separate language which is not Hindi Not marathi not Gujrathi...Its city based language Only Mumbaiites speak this .....Why there is 2.5 crore ppl why they dont go to so called Hubbs ...and Bangalore the Mumbai of south india . By making few outsourcing Software companies nobody can grow thats why India is lagging behind China .... Bombay has the lowest Temparature among all the 4 metros .Last of All let me conclude that all the major cities of the world has developed near the sea Mumbai Rocks as its on that sea which is the Door to the Developed West thats why the Gateway Of India was Constructed by Britishers .
Mumbaikar are most cooperative and traditional ppl.. good example are 26th July, any festivals of any religion... they don't believe in religion or region ..only few ppl like u spoiling mumbai's global image.. they are celebrated every festival of india it's may be from north, east or south..check with any of ur relative those were staying in mumbai.. then give any comment... Mumbai is mini india..even mumbaikar muslim also celebtating Gopalkala...Proud to be mumbaikar and indian dost

Your stupid, The worlds largest slum is soulopaulo, Brazil.I don't think u have a TV at your house or an intenet connection to know how Mumbaikars helped each others during 26th Jully and serial railway bomblast.
Rediff moderator please check IP address and post it next to the message if the message is from out of India. i have been going through the message boards and realised none of us Indians have been brought up like they way some are behaving. Maybe i am an Oldie.if 30 is old for younger guys. we make fun of others tastes and they make fun of me..but all is forgotten and we eat together. No Indian will write such hateful things about any other Indian, we have disaggreements, different likes and dislikes, we find others habits funny, and i am funny to others but not so much hatred as some of the guys are potraying here.my guess is that these guys are not Indians, and they are trying to create rifts, please don't get sucked into fights. i will keep posting this message whenever i doubt the authencity of the message. Beware! let us not get pounced upon. people are waiting for us to crumble and hate eachother. parties will be held at our demise. careful my friends about what you write.

Mumbai is indeed great. This year at Umarkhadi in Mumbai which has 70% muslim population celebrated Janmashtami & participated in Govinda along with Hindus. Let this example be followed by other muslims in India.

No denying the fact that Mumbai spirit is robust, strong and great.
To me Mumbai rocks not only in cricket( of course minus politicians) but also in Dahi Handi , Garba ,Ganesha festival ....very enchanting ,full of life & verve!!!
It is a melting pot of many cultures indeed with a good deal of flavour of Maratha culture. I salute Amchi Mumbai from core of my heart. Mumbai Tujhe Salam!!!
