Former chief minister and Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu has been accusing the Congress and other political parties of vote-bank and opportunistic politics. Hardly a day after he accused the Congress president, Mrs Sonia Gandhi, of adopting vote-bank politics by not choosing to visit the kin of the victims of Mecca Masjid and twin bomb blasts, Chandrababu Naidu deputed his senior party functionary and MP SM Lal Jan Basha to meet senior Muslim religious leader Moulana Hameeduddin Aquil.
Moulana Aquil had supported the Congress during the last Assembly elections. Now after the police raided his madarasa, Darul-Uloom Hyderabad, the Moulana changed his loyalty and announced that he saw no difference between the "communal" BJP and the "secular" Congress.
This statement was enough for Chandrababu Naidu. So he sent Lal Jan Basha to the residence of Moulana Aquil to seek his support. Basha told the Islamic cleric that the TD, when it was in power for nine years, had treated Muslims well and there was no police harassment.
It seems the TD wants to win the support of the Moulana and through him the support of the Muslim community before the next State Assembly polls due in May 2009. If this is not politics of opportunism and politics of vote-bank, what is it? Only Chandrababu Naidu should tell.
all this claim of AP & karnataka police getting leads etc is hogwash--they have the intelligence, they know the perpetrators and local supporters--but will not have the guts to act because of political pressure--if you read whatever is being mentioned in the TOI over the last couple of days that it is all crystal claer as to who is doing all this with tacit support from traitorous politicians.

Bombs burst and people die. Attitude of people in India is 'Chalne do.. hogaya so hogaya..'Everything will cooldown in a couple of weeks or so. After another 6 months or so another bomblast and scores die. An artist will called and sketch of culprit will be released with much hype which will create confusion and panic with lookalikes. Again the media creates a sensation and TV channels churn out debate programs about law and order and security beefed up with CCTV cameras, frisking etc. High level investigation start. India and Pak exchange brickbats. Rediff and other Blogs overflow with hate mails and after a few days everything cools down and everyone is back to their lazy routines. This continues on and on and nothing will happen.

As someone said (may be Shakespeare), our world is stage and our life is like drama, there are repeated performances at different places, if you it is like movie, there are remakes, dubbing and ofcourse second releases too. We are habituated to such attitude.

Hindusim has evolved over time ( for example ban on sati and other similar rituals) and you no longer see caste divisions in upper middle class urban society. Yes there are still pockets in rural India where these diviosn are severe, but that too will eradicate with proper education, which is bound to happen sooner or later.
But what about Islamic fundamentalism, do you think it will stop anyday with its massive patronization from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan etc.

Mr. D, u dont even have the guts to put ur name, in the first place. i dont know which u religion u belong, but know this, like Mr. Silver has said, that Hinduism has evolved with time, most religions also have evolved, except one - i will not write the name. we all understand that infant religions are like that. so fullest sympathies. lets hope that the evolution will prove the rule.

mr D is right and he is having a right point so why dont we eliminite this hinduism not hindus they are dear to us beleave me man its nothing just some stories of vedas and that too has be written by some dacaits can you believe in this
