RE:Why there is no fatwa against Jehadis?

by mt on Sep 02, 2007 09:18 PM | Hide message

The Banu Quraiza was attacked for not supporting Muhammad when the Quraish attacked Medina. Ali sworn that he would never stop until he either storms their garrisons or be killed. This siege lasted 25 days. Finally the Banu Qurayza surrendered unconditionally. Muhammad ordered that the men be handcuffed, while the women and children were isolated in confinement. Thereupon Al-Aws tribe interceded begging the Prophet to be lenient towards them. Muhammad suggested that Sa%u2018d bin Mu%u2018adh, a former ally, be deputed to give verdict about them, and they agreed.

Sa'd's verdict who had received as a serious wound in the previous Battle of the Confederates was "that all the able-bodied male persons belonging to the tribe should be killed, women and children taken prisoners and their wealth divided among the Muslim fighters." Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 280

One wonders why Muhammad who claimed to be the messenger of Allah and in contact with him needed the judgment of a human. Yet this most cruel verdict was precisely what pleased him and he "accepted his judgment saying that Sa%u2018d had adjudged by the Command of Allâh."

To hell with your crap!

You think only Islamists are men with knowledge?

The world was Pagan until 2000 years back, and there were no problems. Mad men came around and made lives miserable.

Why there is no fatwa against Jehadis?
by Ram Sharma on Sep 02, 2007 09:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

why moulavis do not issue fatwa against jehadis? muslim organisations in uk & usa vigorously denounce terrorist acts of jehadis. in india we do not see this happening. even so called intellectuals and pseudo secularists keep mum. all these people shout at the top of their voice only against hindu organisations now & then.

There are no instances of mosque demolitions or genocides committed in UK & US unlike in India (Babri Masjid demolition, massacres of thousands of Muslims in Mumbai and Gujarat, continuing atrocities on minorities - the perpetrators of these crimes going scotfree). That is the reason why even moderates do not have a voice against Jehadis. Jehadis are gaining ground rapidly in India in almost every city today because they have good justification for their idealogy and actions.

YSR is a reactive person whos does not come up very well with instantaneous and politically correct answers in an interview. That does not mean he is a bad politician or administrator. One shud have good conviction towards implementation of policy and humanness in governance. If you atleast know what is happening in the state of Andhra pradesh i.e positive development ,you will not consider the interviews by people like Karan Razdan(Jaya Lalitha walked out of his interview once for the way he put forward offensive questions).YSR also shud have dealt with him the same way.Karan behaved just right when he was interviewing Military higher ups the otherday but generally not with the politicians.A politician has to do a lot of balancing act with lot of inherent pulls and pushes of democraty and governance issues in the Liberalisation era like RUral vs Urban ,welfare vs development, water infrastructure vs road infrastructure etc.Pls take all the above things in consideration before giving advice to vote sensibly
