We have a tendency to send our army fix any such problem, be it northeast or kashmir. Army is sent to kill enemies, not to kill our own citizens. Their war like methods make it worse.
Lets do something different. Keep the army in these burning regions as we already screwed it up, but at the same time do something for the development of the people, create jobs, create educational facilities. Gradually the alienation towards rest of india will decay.

what are you doing? I am sure you are not working to protect the people but have you created any jobs or are you just asking governemnt to create a job for you?
It is high time that India should respect the aspirations of what Kashmiris want. Let them decide what they want through UN resolutions of 1947. That is the only solution to this vexed issue. I believe India should respond to what Musharaf suggested . a 4 point plan. This bloodshed can be stopped, once for all. Kashmiris don't like to part of Pakistan at all, they want to be free from India as well.

This bloodshed can be stopped if pakistan stops sponsoring terrorism accross the border.
By the way who is Musharaf to give a proposal? He doesn't have any control over the territories of his own country. Millitants r kidnaping pakistani army solfiers, NWFP is burning, ask him to sort out his home first.
When it comes to Kashmiris, even they are fed up with the bloodshed and want peace and want to live life. Let the foreign terrorists walk out of Kashmir and leave alone the indian kashmiris.
Its too late to redraw the border, be it kashmir or northeast or somewhere else. If anybody has any issues and concerned, sincere attempt can be made to address them. But forget about independence.
BRING BACK POTA.there cannot be soft dealing with terrorists. Politicians are ruining our country for their vote banks. Innocent people are being killed. This killing will continue till government starts dealing strongly with terrorists and suspected terrorists. communists and terrorists are spoiling India and the world

the communists, in principle, fight for poor, if there is no poor whom will they fight for. So they try to make everybody poor.
It is a matter of shame for us that we aspire to be a world power but we dont have any control on our home.A handfull of anti nationals can hold the nation to ransom and all our netas can do is to mourn the matrydom of our men in uniform,shed crocodile tears for some moment.God only knows when we will get some good administrators who will rise above petty politics and make this country a safe place to live for its ordinary citizens.
