Political parties should think first.
by dakshin on Oct 31, 2007 05:59 PM  Permalink

It is not right to blame governors for whatever happens in state politics. Political parties should have thought of all these complications before giving letters of inability to form government and dissolution of the house. Political parties especially JD(S)and BJP are responsible for this mess. By this I don't mean congress is a saintly party. But when there is a breach of trust between partners, they should have given more thought and taken more time than hurrying to give letters to governor. They are shouting at governor for delaying his decision. He delayed in dissolving the assembly too why no political parties went on yatras to press for dissolution. Only when it pricks them they shoult.

What Constitutional crisis? Where is the Constitution? Who bothers about the Constitution? What is the spirit of the Constitution? Who bothers to know?

As long as I am able to install my party into Power I am happy and I start quoting the Constitution in support of my action. And if I am not installed then I quote another section of the Constituion to say that I have been cheated.

And what Supreme Court can say?
Why Supreme Court is supreme? Because you can not appeal to anybody else. Of course the President is there. He/she will sit over the appeal as in Afsal Guru. They say we are a democracy. Its crazy. Man. These politicians are taking us for a ride. They have been doing it for thousands of years. They are doing it now. We are all fools. No. Puppets. Mughals raped us, British raped us. Our own people raped us. Now the Italians have started raping us left right and centre.

What can you do? You are the King they say in a Democracy. So what can you do? Play Piano as Nero did while Rome was burning.

Constitutional Cricis in Karnataka
by Chandra Thapa on Oct 31, 2007 05:49 PM  Permalink

Any political system all over the world is supposed to be for the benefit of the people of the country adopting such system. But later on instead of service to common people it becomes the monopoly of particular party and such party starts grabing power by hook or crook. There should be fixed term Legislature and such Legislature must be responsible to give credible government with good governance. The culprits within the framework must be punished and banned from taking part in the system. However, unbiased body should monitor whether any pressure has been made to turn its back by the disadvantaged party. However, in the situation like in India where there are ethnic, linguistic, econo-social, literacy, etc., groups including terrorist protector and defending groups prevail it is very difficult to come out with any sacro sanct solution. Therefore, in the given situation Supreme Court must give clear cut directives about handling such situation. It is mockery of democracy if the behaviour of our former Prime Minister is accepted, if it is truly reflected in the Media. Today even Media is also totally tilted towards certain groups and we cannot believe in the reportings given, as nobody knows who is the black sheep.

Well it is trying time for President Pratibhaji as she is originally Congress person but she should rise above the political wishes of her party and do the justice, least preference being to refer the matter to Supreme Court. Dr.C.B. Thapa, Lucknow

constitutional crisis in karnataka
by narasimha murthy on Oct 31, 2007 05:47 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The power-hungry JD(S) led by Devegouda&sons
have landed the state in this crisis.A smooth transition at the end of 20 months would have avoided all these problems. They will pay for it in the next elections, whenever it is held.

Replace JD(S) with CPM-Left and add "without responsibility". This will make national scenario.

The power hungary CPM left without resposibility led by Yechuri and co.have landed whole nation in a crisis. The nation has a lame duck government with its international credibility at its lowest- worse than Chandrashekhar putting gold on mortgage

See the pathatic NH-4 of Karnataka and same compare with Maharashtra. It shows how politicians are lazy and always selfish.
From Hubli to till Pune the road is just Fantastic. You can reach Hubli-Pune within 6-7 hours. Now see the NH-4 of from Hubli-Bangalore god only save so Pathatic roads by the time any pregnant lady reaches Davangere she need not approach doctor at all.
