N- Deal
by arun mehta on Oct 30, 2007 08:48 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This country is destined to suffer another decade of power shortages ,with teeming population, explding middle-class hot on modern gadgets/appliances and no short term solutions.Sadly I don't see any strong leader on horizon who can get a one party rule and a coalition govt will ensure survival of the weakest.

the cost of N-power is way too high. We have tons of hydel power potential in India - something in the tune of 100,000 MW in Arunachal state alone.

Also, separating nuclear facilities will be costly.
THE ONLY GOOD PART OF THIS DEAL IS: WE SHOULD GET NUCLEAR TECHONOLY. NOTHING ELSE. INDIAN COMPANIES CAN BECOME PART OF GROWING NUCLEAR POWER TRADE.

There are other negatives as well, as pointed out by BJP: that is surrendering india's strategic nuclear interest.

Overall, this deal needs to be discussed in detail. and Congress and bjp must work together. However, because of muslim votebank, congress is not approaching bjp on this.

What is Congress's stand on this deal?
by Tathagata Mukherjee on Oct 30, 2007 08:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We know BJP's stand: support for the deal, if some changes made to safe guard indian strategic interest.

We know CPIM's stand: come what may, this deal will be opposed.

WHAT IS CONGRESS'S STAND? FLIP-FLOP. MMS SAYS SOMETHING, THEN CHANGES NEXT DAY.

SONIA SAYS SOMETHING AT JHAJJHAR. NEXT DAY, CONGRESS SAYS: THAT WAS SPECIFIC TO HARYANA!

HOW LONG CONGRESS WILL CONTINUE THIS FLIP FLOP TO REMAIN IN POWER?

by Tathagata Mukherjee on Oct 30, 2007 08:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Ask Sonia to call up Advani and ask for supporting this N-deal.

WILL SHE?

SHE WILL NOT, BECAUSE CONG IS IN POWER TODAY BECAUSE OF ANTI-BJPism.

Specially, before Gujarat election, Congress will NOT do that.

Once again, like Gandhi's support to Khilafat Movement, Indian interest has become a hostage to Muslim politics.

Muslim Vote stopping Congress from approaching BJP for supporting this deal.

Like Khilafat, which our idiotic "father of nation" supported thus sowed the first seed of partition, THIS CONGRESS'S LOVE FOR MUSLIM VOTE WILL DESTROY INDIA ONCE AGAIN, UNLESS BJP GETS A HANDSOME MANDATE.

Other than rallying , instigating Muslim vote, this deal will do nothing for a common man.

CPIM already started this campaign in WB, Kerala in muslim areas, because they compete with Cong for muslim vote these.

CPIM's opposition to this deal is because of muslim vote. Anti-americanism is an emotional issue for indian muslims, and cpim wants to encash that.

Most of the Indian Muslims are like communist followers never use their brain. Congress is the party ruled last 50 years and still they are in poor living conditions, the reason should congress only. All other Muslim countries of the world supporting US, for attacking Iraq Soudi, Kuwait and Qatar given bases, and entire UAE suported Pakistan was no.1 US supporter. If not US cannot attack. But in india especially Kerala and Bengal CPM and congress fooling Muslims. Last election in Kerala CPM divided Muslims by sunni and Mujahid.
Saddam suported election propagenta erroded Muslim leage vote bank base and CPM gained.
Simple no where in the Muslim world observed hartal or Band after saddam hanged. In Kerala and Bengal and many muslim ajority places in India did.
Most of the Indian Muslims are not using their brain, Congress and Communists want to keep them always poor and down to earth living standerd. |Then only they can offer some special schemes and reservations every election eves to grab their votes.

USA is NOT making a favor to India by this deal.

Their nuclear industry is almost dying now, but will be saved once this deal goes thro', as they will get order in the tune of 100s of Billions of uSA.

USA licks a__s__s of China, Pakistan FOR THEIR STRAGETIC INTEREST. If USA is showing some inclination towards India, ITS BECAUSE IT SUITS THEIR NATIONAL INTEREST (A big credit goes to ABV Govt for this).

INDIA MUST STAND UP, AND RENEGOTIATE THIS DEAL AS STATED BY ADVANI. USA will agree.

Mr.Advani and BJP started this deal. Yesterdays enemies are todays friends. Japan was enemy to the US ,today they are stong allies. US has more allies than any nation on earth. So, your statement has no value. Every country including ours protect national intersts. In this matter your Chinese slave Karat and gang holding Indian govt at ransom.Advani singing along with them. PM has to go
by Tathagata Mukherjee on Oct 30, 2007 08:12 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

PM has to go.

Italian Sonia deliberately pushed for this deal which is TOO COSTLY (nuclear seperation between military and non-military).

Plus we are putting TOO MANY reactors under IAEA.

Cost of N-power is way high.

Our strategic Nuclear doctrine is under cloud.

Only good part is, we will be out of Nuclear apartheid. But, I believe: we have to compromise TOO MUCH.

Italian Sonia deliberately did this mess, SO MM SINGH CAN BE CHUCKED OUT, AND RAHUL CAN BE CROWNED.

SONIAJI AND RAHULLINI have taken up to conduct most important matters and these guys and the home minister has nothing to say accept attending sport functions. Not only did Congress keep it away from the BJP, but also did it keep it in the dark with respect to its allies. What is worse, they kept the Left in the dark. And, the worst of all, they kept in such a secret, CHEATING ON THE PUBLIC OF INDIA, BY NOT LETTING ANYONE KNOW THE AGENDA, WHEN MANMOHAN VISITED THE US IN JULY 2005. AFTER the nuclear co-operation agreement was signed in the US in July 2005, Manmohan came out with Bush, to announce the he has signed the agreement. Now, he and Sonia expect everyone to support them! What childishness! Manmohan and Sonia, GET LOST! (For those of you who are thinking why Manmohan and Sonia wanted this so strongly, and why they kept it secret to the extent possible, think about the numbers involved: Nuclear contracts are worth tens of billions of dollars; And, a bribe of even 10% will mean billions of dollars; Why would they let anyone else know? -Except perhaps Quatrocchi or any other Italian friend to be used as a channel for bribes -or maybe somebody like Natwar Singh, who can also be given share)

If Sonia and Manmohan created the mess, they should sort it out, or face the nation. If they spoiled the nation's credibility, they should apologise to the nation first. Why should BJP should come running to help Congress, I don't understand. And, the international analysts are not idiots, they won't say "we will not deal with India any more". They will only say that "we will not deal with such idiots like the Congressmen, whether Manmohan, Sonia, or whoever". So, Sonia and Manmohan, get lost! The BJP and the Public should ensure that such untrustworthy and incompetent like Sonia and Manmohan, who can spoil the Nation's honour for the sake of a billion dollars bribes, are defeated in the next election.
