I think BJP wants the same terms as the US- China nuclear agreement even if it takes significantly longer to negotiate. India cannot agree to Fissile Material Cutoff Treaty which is part of NSG draft as it is a back door to cap and roll back.

BJP is nationalist when it suits them. The N-Deal dialogue was startedby them with an implicit committment to no explosion.Today we have adeal with a possible explosion being judged by the circumstances.Thisis definitely better and BJP will not be the signatory.Hence they turn anti national join the commiesin opposing the deal.So much for BJP's petty nationalism.

Actually, BJP has muted its opposition to the deal. Now they say that they are not opposed to the deal as a whole but only want some extra safeguards.
Let me point out that the Congress Govt. will have to quit if it used the BJP's support to get the deal through. That is the reality of Indian politics.

What about it? Don't waste time on the BJP. Instead, admire Mdm Sonia Gandhi and Mr Rahul Gandhi for projecting India's image so wonderfully on their visit to China.
Why US is so much interested in the deal was the larger issue discussion among the elites of the country. Experts and others are pouring in India to convince the opposition and the Communists in particular, the n-deal is in the interest of India. BJP has recently changed its stance and stated public both its President and others in the party that they are not opposed to the deal, they dont want even renegotiation. But what they want is certain safeguards. They saw the reason and hence changed the stance. What about Communits friends, they are still to make up their mind. The early they do it is better as time is running out for the deal. Congress and its UPA allies should rally around the Prime Minister and proceed with the deal, if it is really going to be beneficial to the country. Government stays or not, if the deal is good, Mr. Prime Minister, go ahead and sign the deal, people of India are with you. The next election will see through the Congress as the true champion of the cause of Indian interest. Anything done in good faith and in the larger interest of the country is laudable and will be welcomed by the people of the country. Dont bother about the coalition politics and its compulsion. They may try to stall without understanding its features. But the Government which has done so much spade works, should not go back on the deal. Nuclear energy is a must. But only aspect of concern is it should not apply cap on our weapon nuclear programme. Mr. Prime Minister, pls e

Do you know which state gave birth to Jana Sangh(now BJP), and Congress idiot?
