WHY ARE SOME BENGALIS WORSHIPPING BUDDHADEB?
by MGR Fan on Oct 28, 2007 01:42 PM  Permalink

I find a lot of educated Bengalis worshipping Buddhadeb. What exactly has he done to West Bengal to deserve worship?

A few Software companies like Wipro andEDS have put their offices in Kolkatta. A lot of shopping complexes and multiplexes adorn Kolkatta. That is because everyone knows that Kolkatta has lots of talented people ready to work hard and spend money. So what exactly has Buddhadeb done?

West Bengal has one of the highest Illiteracy rates in India. The Slum population of Kolkattai s still second highest in India. Poverty is a way of life for millions of Bengalis.

70% of Educated Bengalis leave the state, work outside in far off places like Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore etc and visit the state during Pooja to have fun.

What is so great about Buddhadeb? He brought a car factory, but that is nothing. Look at a state like Maharashtra or Haryana, we have several such automobile factories. What is big deal about Buddhadeb? What about other industries? What about Power Plants, Steel factories etc? Look at the way Naveen Patnaik is struggling to put a steel factory in Orissa. Do we see such a move in bengal? No body wants to invest in that state...

A BENGALI SAID THIS TO ME...
by MGR Fan on Oct 28, 2007 01:33 PM  Permalink

He said that most bengalis, even villagers are not sure of the long term well being of the state under communists.

Communists have destroyed the industrial base of Bengal in last 30 years. A few IT Parks and a few software untis of Wipro or EDS wont change anything much. He said that the well off and the educated among Bengalis always work in outside states and visit Bengal only during the Pooja Holidays, to have fun, good food and to socialise/fix marriage alliances/meet long lost friends and relatives.

He also said that the Bengali CPM Leaders are personally control freaks and fanatics and also chauvinists. They are obsessed with food , drink and women and they will never ever allow women to become the CM of the state. So much for a party (CPM) which keeps shouting about Women's reservation bill...

Also quite some of these CPM leaders are astute businessmen and they invest their own monies safely outside Bengal. CPM claims itself to be against capitalism, but many of the CPM supporters invest their money in Bombay Share Market. Why?

COMMUNIST STALIN SAID THIS..
by MGR Fan on Oct 28, 2007 01:26 PM  Permalink

"One Man Dead is a Tragedy. One Million Men Dead is just a statistic".

Communists are following their godfather Stalin's philosphy dutifully and so they are working in ways and means to make this tragedy into statistic. Already, yesterday, we had this news of several men killedi n Jharkhand by Naxalites. Heil Marx, Heil Mao, and may the proletariat be an eternal slave of Comrade Crooks

No news
by Sahadevan Pitha on Oct 27, 2007 07:38 PM  Permalink

If its in Gujarat its a big news for all our anti indian media! Muslims are get slotterd in Bengal by Commies is not at all a news.

Bardan was in Kerala speaking a seminar other day to improve Muslims life in the state.
(Comparatively Muslims community in kerala has much better living conditions than any other state in India)
30 years of commies rule provided the worst condition of life in Bengal. Not only Muslim who ever opposes commies cannot live their with peace. CPM gundas rouming around with guns. no law and order at all. In Kerala rioting CPM students union SFI killed a police asst sub inspector by hitting his head other day.

Yes We know what happened in West Bengal in last December - March.

1. Tapasi Malik was rapped and murdered by CPM parti men in SINGUR. CBI arrested them but still some criminal leader of CPM as bustrut Binoy Kongar is continuously supporting the murderer.

2. More then 40 people killed in 14 March 2006 by CPM backed police but the government declared that only 14 died.

Do we really have a choice Mr Nath? Only option is Mamata who cannot be trusted.. We desparately need a strong opposition who can pose a serious political threat to the commies.. and provide us with a healthuy an dprosperous Bengal

Hi Subroto,
Mamta fights one election with BJP and another with Congress....really nodody can and should trust unethical powerhungry conscienceless people like her. I think Communists remain a slightly better choice for the moment. NO?

Its unfortunate Swaran.. If the opposition was strong enough the commies wouldn't have dared to carry out their high handed approach like they are doing now mostly in the villages.. I personally feel at this point of time Budhha is missing the deceased former state secretary of CPIM.. Anil Biswas.. Had he been here there wouldn't have been a Nandigram.. or Singur issue would have been sorted out in a much better way..

You are true Mr. Roy, but I think it,s the real time to change .I know Mamta is not suitable. But when CPM is doing such a nonsense and violence so how you are not changing for only one time. It may be Mamta or Others, would they would be worst than the present goverment ?

To be very honest to you Mr. Nath.. I prefer left to Mamata.. Just because on two counts.. I personally belong to IT sector and have seen the change that this Govt has brought about.. and Mamata's investment friendly crediantials is something I am not too sure of.. and No 2.. Is Mamata's associates.. She has taken up a super fine way to get rid of those who are capable and efficient ones.. like Nirbed Roy, Sudip Bandopadhyay and others..

And moreover its a fact that you must be feeling pity for Buddha who had scroundrels like Binoy Kongar and Laxman Seth who are to blame for this catastophe and violence.. Those being in power has to show much restraint which I felt was lacking in certain areas by the CPIM..

What CPM brought Mr. Roy ? Are you looking the IT sector ? I think you are too young. You are looking with your view. Whole country knows that the left is originally against IT. You know Joyti Basu Refused to build the Infosis in last 1994. Hydrabad, Bengalor is still rising first. Only Buddha showing taht we are the top. But are we really top ?

Mr Nath I am in this sector for the last 8 yrs or so and had the opportunity to work in Bangalore, Pune and Kolkata.. From my experience I can tell you that Bangalore is still at the peak and way ahead of Bengal.. Pune is growing the fastest.. But yes WB is also growing strong.. I am not saying that it will be the best and I dont even anticipate it.. But yes with the current growth it can be quite handy to prevent the growth of educated jobless youth if not reduce it..

However it appears that you are more interested in past histories rather than looking at the present.. I rather believe to look at the present.. and to what may happen in future.. Not only me but also my friends who are in diverse sectors like finance are not very hopeful with Mamata being at the CM's chair..

I dont believe in playing with my future and not also with the future of my 2 yr old son.. What about you????
