Collective government
by Sunil Agrawal on Oct 28, 2007 08:21 AM  Permalink

There should be a rule that an assembly can not be held before five years. If no party can proved the majority then either largest party should run the government or there should be a collective government.

Game has gone wrong for Congress.
by Suresh Potdar on Oct 28, 2007 08:08 AM  Permalink

How can you say that so soon ? The Congress Party has stalwats who are so deft at such games that they will engineer a collapse of the proprosed new government before it is formed or very soon after it is formed.
They just cannot let go a southern state so easily which is their citadel. Why do they not engineer a split and send Manishanker Iyer as the Chief Minister. Anyway he is an unwanted sycophant who is ready to do anything to maintain his place in Congress and can be a consenscience candidate like DeveGowda was for PM a few years ago.

all Governors are 'the most obidient servants' of the throne of the Madam president like the splineless, mediocre Congressmen who, just to stick to power are ready to gulp self-respest like bitter tablet but stay near the feet of the MADAME. DO YOU RECOLLECT THE PICTURE OF Dr. Manmohan Singh touching the feet of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi after his swearing in as PM on something like 15th May 2004 ? If that is for PM what for Governors ?

Karnataka: Game wrong gone wrong for Congress
by jamsheed abumohammed on Oct 28, 2007 08:01 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Congress made a big mistake in not fishing in the trouble waters of Karnataka politics. They do not have leadership of quality that is why they lost to the communal forces. The ever Sonia too failed in Karnataka and camping in Chaina, trying to impart training to heir-apparent Rahul Gandhi. Whats wrong with Indian leadership. Why dont they see the writing on the wall and take concrete action. It was opportunity to ditch the BJP-JD(S) communal forces...but congress failed to capitalise this. This is the gravest mistake and now that they are rubbing the hand in despair...Again they have to tolerate this combine for some more time...Bjp once in for power will try to consolidate through safronisation of the administration.. This is a very dangerous trend in Karnataka...Congress will pay a very heavy price for their neglect in this political game. Deve Gowda and Kumarasamy will be in for more ditching game at the later part of the tenure of this saffron government. Karnataka was a peaceful state and it should remain so. But with this BJP run government, things will come to naught...Muslim leadership in the state should beware of the communal forces. They will do more harm to the interest of the community. May be one Modi is bring created to disturb the placid waters of communal harmony in the State. Deve Gowda and Kumarasamy will pay a very heavy price for their volte-face. They should have put their foot down and turn the table against the saffron brigade. This they didnt, wi

BJP is a communal party,eh?. What about the IUML which has no other agenda than espousing the cause of the Muslims? Is it a secular party? How come that the Congress now and the Commuists earlier had accepted them as their bedfellows in Kerala? We even have a IUML guy as Union Minister. What double standards!!!

If congress party is wrong why dont you people open a party of muslims and still you are sticking to congress. You please remember that congress turning with the tide had approached a soft hindutva stance after the gujrat debacle. And are now accomodating rebels from bjp. Congress in the first place is wrong and hindus have no choice but to run for bjp.

What about the communist who have tied with IMUL in Kerala. IMUL which is hard core communal party. During BJP regim there was absolutely no communal tension in the country. What happened in Gujarat is not due to Mr. Modi but due to the muslim organisation who burnt sabaramati express. These organisation are the real culprits for the incident in Gujarat
