Harsh reality!
by shiva on Oct 27, 2007 06:34 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

There are two groups who make a lot of noise. The third, the majority like me, believe in our experts, who must have got the best deal in the circumstances. No deal is struck through internet!

Our leftists are mere idealogues clinging to outdated theories in a fast changing world. Their masters, China & Russia, are very practical to create wealth for their countries to make up for time lost due to exercises that our leftists are still clinging on to. The relevance of marxism are lost now, as the world has opened up and the enterprising treats it as an oyster. Those holding on to outdated thoeries spread gloom around to deflect their own inadequacies.

The other group, who support the deal, feel we should support the US, as we are also victims of meaningless terrorism. US is the most advanced country in terms of technology and we can only benefit by associating with them. They are also practical that we should not impose our terms as we benefit more.

The third group, trusts our leaders, scientists & top bureaucrats, believe we got the best in the circumstances. Even China, Russia are in the game of open business and we would loose out by being left out of the loop.

I am not alone in pleading with those opposed to the deal to find alternate energy sources for our increasing needs. Oil is nearing $100/barrel and it is very real that our supplies can be cut off. The alternate energy sources are far from real at the moment and let us get real!

I hope you should know, rushing at the eleventh hour doesn't makes sense. A simple query I have for you and the all the kind; why weren't we wise enough to do research in energy and come with our own solutions to energy crises; don't you think our so called intellectuals were sleeping or myopic in their decision making on energy; and any common man will say a simple maths as demands for a product increases while the availability of product decreases with time, the value of that product increases with time.If our intellectuals, top bureaucrats, etc. had sensible made decision, we would be called developed country and not buying technology or begging for one. At the end I will say, you should know simple market rules, the value of US $ 25 in present market.

Indian establishment cannot deal with the ramifications
by Sameer Bhagwat on Oct 26, 2007 10:57 PM  Permalink

This 123 agreement would have been eagerly grabbed by China or Pakistan, they would gobble all N-fuel and throw inspections and treaty to the garbage can once they have enough bombs.India though is different. Our babus seriously follow international treaties as they are afraid of looking bad in front of foreigners, although they care two hoots about domestic laws. What else explains the fact that N-fuel is lying idle and being wasted at Tarapur as the US did not grant reprocessing rights. China or Pakistan would have diverted this fuel to the black market or made bombs a long time ago. This being the mentality of our babus, its best not to have clauses like 'for perpetuity', 'right to return' etc. There is a danger that some future government might shoot itself in the foot trying to appease some foreign power, when someone points out these clauses.

Say No, to the Commies
by Bodh Ramdeo on Oct 26, 2007 10:28 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The Indian Communist traitors are becoming desperate, and are pulling out all the stops to derail this N-deal, in order to fulfill the agenda of their Mandarin bosses in Beijing. Nothing makes these Commies see more 'red' than the image of closer Indo-US ties.
But these Commies can only succeed if the masses of this land lay down quietly and let the Reds run rough-shod over them.
It's time they dumped these Commie traitors into the sewer where they belong - these treacherous luddites must not be allowed to derail India's march to progress and prosperity.

I am not a "Commie" or any other party. I am an INDIAN.
This deal is related to the SECURITY OF INDIA. Having N-Deal means that we are virtually handing our country to US. Understand first about the Deal before pointing the fingers.

Ndeal should happen
by Supriya A on Oct 26, 2007 02:12 PM  Permalink

The communists are really very selfish people. They would be the first ppl to forward this deal if presented by china. because china feeds them and its a well known fact. see what they have done to West Bengal. Once a good and industrious state is in its ruins. No company wants to have its branches there. The communists want to sell India to china and fill their own pockets. Lets support this N-Deal and make India prosperous country.

US can better attack and destroy the leftist, they do more harm to the country than a terrorist group.

US did extend it's friendship and trust to India. Ball is in our court. Communist are the major stumbling block. A small minority party controlling our foreign policy. Where in the world this can happen other than in India.BJP is not off the hook. Hard to believe they are singing along with the TRAITORS.
