The timing of this sting operation couldn't have been more perfect. This sting operation will do more bad than good to Congress. After all these years, if the Congressmen thought that they will be able to create a new caste equation to win the elections, this sting has spilled water on their hopes. There is nothing surprising about this sting operation. Modi never denied that he was a Hindu to the core and that he will always fight for the rights of the Hindus. This sting operation will polarise vote bank again. People will again recollect past memories, pseud-secularists will keep on harping about post Godhra and the voters will think about the carnage in Godhra which resulted in the mayhem later on. Do you really think that people are going to believe what has been done by Tahelka. Or people are unaware of all the things. What do you mean by informed choice. There is nothing new in this and people already have a mindset on the upcoming election. But then you can't blame anyone after that. If majority thinks Modi has done good work, he will win. Five years after Godhra, there is a need for an introspection---by the Muslims and the secular elite of the brutality of those responsible for Godhra and by the Hindus and the Administration of how the subsequent riots were handled. Karsevaks looted the stalls and made fun of muslims on their way to Ayodhya day after day. That started all that. Still muslims reaction was highly condemnable. But that doesn't give any body any right to carry out what they have planned well in advance - the genocide.
Things that happens at the spur of the moment cannot be avoided all times. Definitely we can take steps to prevent that. But premeditated madness we just can't allow. This is sick thing.
