Why are you?
by deepak on Oct 25, 2007 07:04 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why are you begging congress, and its allies, and not BJP which was marginalized by the historic arrogance of Congress on this treaty.... BJP was begging to make this a debate in parliament, where all participants could contribute... But Nuclear treaty was dealt as executive privilage... Executive privilage for a brown sahib, and a career clerk who knew how to say only YES....

Debate won't cover the question about what our scientist have done to solve energy problem, the huge BARC, ISRO, NAL, etc. Nuclear bomb is not enough when there are plans to sell us billions of dollars of reactor equipment/arms & fuel and create perpetual dependence for us.

DS do you know the classes and sub classes that are said in the agreement? they can not cut the fuel just like that, this agreement was well crafted in favour of India, when we get the go sign from IAE, we can buy fuel from other NSG members too.

by vineet on Oct 25, 2007 07:00 PM  Permalink

I don't know wheather PM Singh knows about using left or not but most of the Indians know when they use left. It is mostly in the morning time to clean our shit. So I request PM singh not to take left very seriously as they must be used only for cleaning thing rather than any national interest.

by D S on Oct 25, 2007 06:59 PM  Permalink

Both Russia (the super-toppie Neutron reactor ) and France have indicated that they will SELL Nuclear stuff to India if NSG approves.. Apart from USA, there are many to sell goodies and junkyard to India. COMPREHENSIVE ENERGY POLICY is something we don' have because we are dis-illusioned

Nobody gets it yet
by on Oct 25, 2007 06:37 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Neither Congress, nor Sonia, nor MMS want election before Rahul is ready to take over the mantle. Nobody is thinking what is right for the country or the people in long run. It is all about Rahul gandhi being ready. Even Dr MMS is no different when it comes to being a poodle to Gandhi dynasty. Only person who refused to be a poodle was Narsimha Rao and he is not mentioned any where ay time. Not just by Congress but even the press refuses to acknowledge is contribution (even though JMM bribery case was a bad thing, I am sure it was not that it was done for the first time, or for that matter last time)

China is always major treat for
India and other democracies like
United States, Japan.
China can not be a friend of India.
China is helping Pakistan against
us.
Same way we have to help Taiwan
against them.
Chinese are occupied Tibet.
Now, we have to take U turn
in our foreign policy.
We need shake hand with US and
its NATO allies.
We also need to support Tibet
for their freedom straggle nevertheless
we have to take step for merger of
Tibet in our democratic republic.

Indians are not capable of either Americanizing or Chine'ing' Tibet... It is game for big guys to figure it out... Gandhi Dynasty also ONLY worries about themselves...What they do it is for themselves. BJP has nothing great to offer. So I am bored and ready to have Mayavati on the top, things cannot get worse than what they are. Mayavati mentor was Sardarji Kansi Ram.

MP Anil Kumar needs to be more choosy in the use of words....
by Bhasmasur on Oct 25, 2007 06:10 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

You have got to be more careful when you are criticizing one of the architects of modern Indian economy....
No matter what his shortcomings, Dr Manmohan singh due to his seniority and his impeccable achievements in public life, deserves a bit more respect than what the author has accorded him.....

The Author seems to be a servile toady of the US....also comes across as someone who has just learnt to rote one of those vocab books for CAT and wants to have a go in a public blog...all the best for CAT!!

Agree with the observations you made in the first paragraph. If it wasn't for Dr Singh as FM during 1991 , our business and industries would still have been in the stranglehold of red tapism. I , personally, respect what he's been trying to do. How much more harm would happen if UPA decides to go back to the polls ? That said, I guess we'd still have an allied government , probably with Mayawati replacing CPM.

Economic reformation has happened anyway, for IMF guns were on India's head... MMS comes from a licence raj establishment, and was always an equal partner... This propaganda that he opened the Indian economy is a faulty one... Forget her previous tenure as FM, what has he done as a PM.... Has he opened any sector... Aviation, telecome, and Banking, all have been opened under BJP rein..

He might be a descendant of the License raj , but his and every other reformists hands were tied under Indira Gandhi . As for the seemingly faulty theory that you mentioned , his reforms during 1991 are extremely popular and an established fact in the economic circles.

Oh , btw, if BJP was in power India would have become a communal battleground , not that it didn't already turn into one during their regime. Can't understand how they could be so ruthlessly non-secular.( But I guess that's outside the scope of this debate).

Get off the communist back...
by D S on Oct 25, 2007 06:03 PM  Permalink

See what is good for India. Don't care about Congress, Commies, BJP. Do what is good for India. WE DON'T HAVE COMPREHENSIVE ENERGY POLICY WHICH COVER ALL FACETS. Once Nuclear lobby (sales) come to India, they will have enough money to buy & over-run everybody including the top commies.
