This is an excellent report questioning the NEERI Impact assessment. Swamy and others should file a case for environmental vandalism , which is a fact and happening right now. This will hold a lot of water. See web site below

NEERI already cleared the project. As per NEERI's report no environmental changes would be witnessed along the east coast after comletion of Ram sethu project.

Read this word by word. The Board members are not fools. They are based in Chennai. Remember salt water is a better heat transfer medium than water. This heat is enough for one to destroy the environment, when the ships pass by. The report questions the project word by word. What technical discussion ? when someone go to temple he will not have to get a certificate From ASI whether god existed there or not. it is matter of faith ram setu is mentioned by valmiki Ramayan with accurate geometrical details. And about man made or not one thing to mentioned The amarnath Cave in kashmir is also not man made can you destory it too Respect the faith and about developement by destorying setu is just a big myth. it is acctually enviornment disaster

Dear friend, No environmenatal disaster is expected as per NEERI's report. Valmiki Ramayana is based on some existing places. A place mentioned in a story doesn't mean that the story is true.

Whatever you say is correct. No one has any right to question someone else faith.
But what is pity about Hindus is that they do not have unity. Even on Ram issue (not on Ram setu issue) they differ. Sonia, Shiela Dixit, PM Man Mohan Singh everybody were a party who supported Karunanidhi in his tirade against Ram and Hinduism. Yet Hindus, unahamedly allow them to participate in this year's ram lila in New Delhgi. The organizers of Ram Lila indeed were spineless. They should have told these VIPs that these Ram Lila is organised for the faithful Hindus and not for people like them. Instead they have received them with respect and allotted them VIP seats! Shame on all Hindus.

Purely on legal basis, this is a silly judgment of the court. Is this the Supreme Court which is saying that "We are not going to interfere with the committee. It is not appointed by the court,"
In that case, the SC cannot interfere anywhere including the caste-quota-reservations committee.
The SC is contradicting its own rulings where it has so many times interfered in many situations which it DID NOT create

I agree with your observation that Supreme Court shouldn't have rejected this plea. But, I guess, it would have taken up this matter, if this was raised by any person, other than Mr. Subramaniam !!!. All know, what a crap this Subbu is.!!

Agree on Subramaniam Swamys' part that he has allowed himself to be taken for granted and made a mockery of himself.
But on October 6, the SC had said that the "the formation of the committee was not in conformity with the undertakings given by the government in the Supreme Court"
So, even if the Centre violates what it promised, the SC cannot act ???
This is sheer stupidity on the part of the bench which delivered this judgment.

It all depends on the castes and religions of the judges. If the bench is dominated by brahmins you could see a different judgement supporting myths.
