I think the great Scientist of India(Dr.Kalam) and the one of the great Economist of India(Dr.Singh) must be having some meaning or good cause in their views. But what the hell the RED comrades has in their minds nobody(indians) knows but the China knows it for sure
We are giving Rs.10/- to farmers as prcurement price, we export the item to foriegn countries at Rs.13/- then we import the same at Rs.15/- and reaches market at Rs.18/- This is what happens in India. Kalam better sit for teh next MP election and see if it wins ..they Join in ruling part..do all he wants..Sitting aside and saying any thing any one can do..he is really unhappy of not got a 2nd term..he is roaming the world for peace of mind
What we were doing for 60 years. Govt. has spent enormous money on scientists but they have let us down. To my knowledge, thorium reactor is 3 stage. We just completed stage 1 and it took us 30 years of research. Dr. Kalam agrees lot of research still needed. But he is too optimistic on his time estimate. I think thorium reactors are still min 30 yrs away.

Indian scientists are working more than 50 years thru diff organisation..still why we depend on foreighn palyers for Airplane parts or etc..Ours all set up have high dependency of US/Europe/Russia..all of a sudden people just blush..we make everything..but never works in reality..for name sake..every oen can talk nonsense

you r wrong. It will come likely within 10 years. My estimate of 30 yrs is also optimistic estimate.
Secondly nuke deal is not stopping our research on thorium based technology. Then why not go for deal? Dr. Kalam shall clearly state his mind on nuke deal. Don't give us dreams. We need to live in reality. Most of indian nuke scientists are biased against US as they were forced into isolation. Dr. kalam is also a sort of thief for US.

You are dumb head. If we sign deal, we will get power. More power means prosperous economy. Prosperous economy means more money. more money means more research. Secondly, we will get Uranium from outer resources. More uranium means more thorium research. This deal is good. India should go for it. Dr. Kalam shall speak his mind clearly on deal.
apne kalam kar dikhaya, India should excellerate, thorium research, add more money to this project, stup two to three seperate group doing same research, let them compete to complete to come up with final operational design.Put best scientific minds, Material manufacturing facilities, Money. Lets go for it, If it is proven in theory, than this is question of transforming theory to Practice. Why spend Billions on foreign controlled Fuel supply, which can be turned off any time, why not spend equall or more in Thorium research. Makes big sense, I thought there was canadien company wanted to sell this technology to INDIA, I doubt they had done research on this, If they did might as well pick their brain, nothing wrong in that.

My vision also from Thorium we have to try the reactors. Why should we borrow from America the U.Then after sometimes the cost of U will be 100 times like how petroleum product cost increased.
Only thing our 'P's can not have foreign money in Swiss Bank.

My actual view is to have number of Wind mills as the wind is free to produce the current and it is a Green power and who knows, One day India might have achieved the Green power throughout India and we may not depend on the foregn countries for the Petroleum products.
Why the 'P's should talk about 'U' Because pocket filling.
