RE:Mr.Modi, the progress oriented and bold personality leader(Continue...)

There was a tragedy. A complete compartment got burned. People died.

OR

There was a conspiracy. A bogie was meticulously burned and its passengers killed.

Be it either ways. What should a government do? Try and get the situation under control, immediately, using all the available resources. Using all available resources, find the cause of the incident. If it is a tragedy, provide succor to the bereaved. If it was a conspiracy, hunt down the accused and put them on trial.

What did actually happen? And therein lies the tragedy. All your short-sighted comments about sob-nobody-talks-about-Hindus-being-killed and Muslims-started-it and Muslims-deserve-it and other very similar comments look eerily like a well oiled plan to not discuss the real issue at all.

You can fool some people all the time, all the people some time but not all the people all the time.

rightly said. it is the vested interest of pseudo-secular media and western agents (who dont see any wrong under the rule of musharraf but jumps to the modi bashing immediatley).
I appreciate ur feelings. one thing is sure that when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. and modi is one of those. remember, all the media were against him even in 2002 elections, and it was one-sided propaganda like gobbels even then. but he came strongly. media considers the public as fools, but they themselves are fooled by public. (now someone dont argue that ppl r uneducated! even uneducated ppl hv brains unlike so-called secularists)

What If We Had A Uniform Civil Code?
by nekendukubhe on Nov 06, 2007 12:04 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The paradox is that those who flaunt their %u2018secularism%u2019 with the exhibitionist zeal of a peacock strutting about on monsoon eve are brazenly hypocritical when it comes to the uniform civil code. In a recent TV debate, the secular icon of the English-language media, Javed Akhtar, made the astounding pronouncement that he had voluntarily accepted the UCC (mixing it up with the Special Marriages Act). His claim to living within the purview of the %u2018UCC%u2019 was that he divorced his first wife before marrying again. After extolling the virtues of his own action, Javed proceeded to insist he would never recommend the same code for his co-religionists. His only objection to the UCC was that the BJP favoured it.

This is another myth carefully spun by the %u2018secularists%u2019. Long before the BJP or even its parent party, the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, was born, the makers of India%u2019s Constitution had strongly recommended the formulation of common rules of marriage and succession. That%u2019s why the directive principles of the Constitution specifically enjoin the state to move towards the enactment of a UCC. In other words, it is its sacrosanct responsibility to implement it, just as it is the state%u2019s bounden duty to provide free, compulsory education to all children till the age of 14.

Currently, Hindus themselves have different Hindu Personal Laws in every state of India. Why doesn't the Hindutva Brigade first come up with a unified Hindu Personal Law that is uniform for all Hindus in every state across the country? Why doesn't bjp work on the Uniform Hindu Personal Law first before dispensing advice to other communities? Is it afraid of something?

In hindu communities in South India, marriage between maternal uncle and his niece is widespread and is considered as a birth-right of the groom.

In hindu communities in Punjab, Harayana, a woman is married to her husband's brothers.
Would hindus accept this in their uniform civil code?

if the boggie was full of muslimss, then the whole of india would hv been on fire as aftermath of godhra and not merely gujarat. and the repurcussions wud hv been felt in pak and bangla also. The pseudo-secular media forgets this aspect.

modi the hitler?
by uncle shame on Nov 05, 2007 11:36 AM  Permalink

comparing modi with hitler is as true statement as the claims made by the US President george bush about WMD(weapons of mass destruction) in possession of iraq. both the claims r the propaganda made by the vested interests to destabilise their respective economy (state and country) and gain political and financial mileage from it.
