I pity on your thought about bangalore living conditions. Many of IT people don't have option to move out of bangalore and stay here. It is big USELESS place.

If you are talking about the land of opportunity then don%u2019t give the credit to Bangalore. Credit goes to India. India has become the land of opportunity
i have been to chennai, hyderabad, mumbai and no iam in bangalore.....yes, there are lot of infrastructure difficulties in bangalore......but the fact is that actually bangalore is an small city and you can walk to nearby places.....but people prefer two-wheelers and cars and that makes traffic all the more difficult......without doubt bangalore is the best metro to walk.....the sideways and footpaths are surprisingly cleaner and greener than other metros.....iam beginning to enjoy walking on bangalore footpaths and parks.....they were well laid.....a walkers paradise......never saw such thing in other metros .......and another thing i liked about bangalore is rain itself.....i always fear walking out in rain in chennai or hyderabad or mumbai without umberalla or raincoat because i usually get fever if i go in rain......but surprisingluy in bangalore rain i was wetted several times in the rain without umberalla or rain coat...even then i dont get any fever not even cold or cough......now iam enjoying walking in bangalore rain without umberalla or rain coat.....it is beautiful experience which i cannot get in other metros.......

Wake up Joydeep, Bangalooru, Hyderabad, Kanpur and Ahmedabad having expanded in populace and size have been accorded A1 status. So, now India has 8 metros, not 4. Incidentally Bengalooru metropolital area is much larger that even Greater Mumbai metropolitan area!

Now govt. should control on development in Bangalore otherwise in future it will be like hell. now also because of traffic peoples are facing lot of problem. govt. should transfer or allot new office to North karnatak so that north karnatak also develops. Govt. see karnataka means only Bangalore, Mysore.
so pray for god, North Karntaka should get separate state.

I suggest you to read the title of the topic and then pass your unbelivabily stupid comments. He is talking about Indian best City not world's best city. Now every knows whos is moron..........
I think people from Kolkata,Mumbai are most friendly in nature. You can't get that anywhere else. Those two cities top the list in terms of availability of good delicious foods as well... And I can't call B'lore a city as you don't get any Taxi there...public transport is awful..
Contradictory to your statement B'lore is the worst city i have seen in my life. Merley u will get a space on road for drive left by Auto Rikshaw & BMTC buses. This is big city n day ends here at 10pm. Police says bcoz of security issue we closing at 10, if this is what the security then why we require police man. This city requires 4 years to complete 3km flyover can't imagine if they have to construct 10km flyover. No Festival is celebrated here, look at the mumbai, pune. This is such a dull city i have ever seen.

dear anil.. yes we have a traffic problem in pune, but every city have traffic problem. my topic is not a traffic, i m talking about peacefull city. mumbai and pune is populated cities so traffic increases daily. lot of ppl entering daily in pune to searching job because pune have biggest industrial area in entire asia.
Having been a true Bangalorean all along and seen it reduce to the current chaotic state makes me feel what probably Devanad could feel for his Bombay from his Bombay of "Taxidriver" days to the current stinking Mumbai! But being a Bangalorean alone made me and many others like me return to this gentle city even aftera long sojourn in a larger city in Europe or the US. I hope Bangalore will someday retain its old charm and claenliness with which it always was associated with.from Yeshwanth Pai

I am not a Kannadiga, but a true Bangalorean. No matter how Bangalore is, I just love the way it is. It feels like u r close to ur home where this cosmopolitan respects everyone and welcomes everyone. Not like Chennai where people dont want even to speak English and expect that u speak tamil with them. It's not even polluted like Chennai and doesnt have water problem at all. Kudos to bangalore. Bangalore is definitely the best!!!
If someone says that Bangalore is the best city in India then it clearly indicates that, the person or the group was not explored India. Bangalore is a horrible place to live except for the climate. If the Bangalore administration continues in the same way as it is now, then the cool climate is also at risk. We are not very far from loosing this comfort (climate). The place cannot be judged by one factor alone. Infrastructure, road discipline, cleanliness etc are the important factors to judge. I am not seeing any of the major parameters are upto the standard in B'lore. We need to work towards achieving it rather than giving false facts. Good day!

I am in Bangalore for last 3 years. I love this place and that%u2019s why I criticize. Because then only things might change.
Between 2004 and 2007
· From silkboard to marathalli bridge 80% of the tree cover is gone · Water in Bellandur lake(biggest lake inside the Bangalore city limit) has rotten. You cant stand any where near the lake · From silkboard to ITPL 19kms would take you atleast 1 and a half hour · In the name of traffic decongestion, only 5 trees are left on the BTM junction · Min wait time at silkboard is 15 mins · Auto drivers think that all the money you have is a small part of your big loot. So he would charge you double triple and what not, when you are in hurry · BTMC driver wants to drive right over you by cutting across from the slowest to the fastest lane · Most of the bust stops are immediately after the signals
ONLY WHEN WE TALK, NOT ABUSE, WE CAN MAKE THINGS BETTER. AND TO MAKE BANGALORE BETTER YOU DON%u2019T HAVE TO BELONG IN HERE. IT A PART OF A NATION CALLED INDIA WHICH HOLDS NO MEANING IN THIS HUGE HOT DISCUSSION

Bangalore is not a hill station like shimla, it is world known city. So you cannt combare with these places. You compare it with our four metros.

No... I will say Bangalore is good city in India. But there two major drawback. 1) There is no mass transportation 2) No international Airport.
One international airport is about to start, so that problem is over. But the roads and transportation is in very bad shape. The city urgently require a metro train service for the public transportation. Making more roads will spoil city's natural beauty.
But all these problems are there in all other major cities in higher level. So Bangalore is still the best city in India.
However Bangalore can grow in a better way as there is no constraints for growing wide... If there is a river on the side of the city it would have marvellous....
Dear,B'lore weatherwise is okay...nobody is aware of parthenian flower which grows there, making it more polluted.Did u notice the walkways?Horrible traffic jam...etc etc.. City buses no clue.. Bombay is our Commercial capital, good but not clean and safe anymore...still,there is a system.. New Delhi..overpopulated/too many cars on road/very unsafe... Ahmedabad, slow city, hot but coming up in a big way..It should be the best in near future.. Kolkata, mismanged caotic and what not...It was paradise once..But our new Mayor had killed the dreams of a better living...but that's the best airport of our country.. I think we shoudnt ignore all small metros. No final verdict! S.SG
