The deal will have no effect with the indian electorate if they go for an election on this...which is the primary reason for the allies not stepping in with MMS. MMS is a good administrator but not a politician. He just need a good serious talk from some of the politicians about running a party in India and capturing power...looks like he is like a kid in politics..
Yes we have an alternative to Mr Man Mohan Singh. Don't worry we have another statesman who has exactly similar profile like him. Mr. Chidambaram. The deal is very much possible is Mrs Sonia Gandhi can get a promise from him to implement the N-deal. As Mr. Man Mohan Singh, he is also loyal to Mrs. Gandhi and has little or no insight into the Defence and Foreign policy implications of the deal (they are hard wired to think the most optimistic economic assumptions/implications). Don't worry about the Left, they are interested in knowing about the "Secret document" in the deal. And to my guess, it has something that they have been craving for a long time. So, don't expect them to resist anymore after the "joint meeting". And BJP don't even know how to bring the opposition parties together to pass a resolution against this deal.

Thank god, if they don't include the "mutual refueling agreement" for fighter aircrafts during war or training. It may help India during training but will destroy India if a war breaks between China and USA. And USA(especially Republican party) historically made friends with the neighbours of their enemy and abandoned after the war for their fate to deal with the implications. World already knows the rank and file of all the 'who is who' of Indian Nuclear Technology through media without spending much for espionage. If not the above, it would be 'Arrow - anti-missile defence systems' or 'HumIT' both proven to be useful only for Hollywood or Bollywood movies.

It is a bedtime story. There were two students in a gurukul. Chaitran and Maitran. Chaitran always complained that guru loved much to Maitran. One day guru gave each of them one rupee coins and described to spend the money and fill their own rooms when he would come back in the evening.
Chaitran went out to collect to fill his room. He saw a truck of garbage. It was to dump outside the village. He looked on his coin and worked his crooked mind. Guru arrived to verify his scholars. Guru was powerless to reach Chaitran's room.
Then Guru went to Maitran's room with Chaitran. He welcomed both of them with full of fragrance, and light. Guru tried to make understand Chaitran that everybody will love the person who does a good job.
PM MMS has not felt the insult to Pranab Mukherjee when Russian FM refused to meet him.The PM does not accept the views of scientific community who know that the talk of power generation is ridiculous. If PM knows every thing then why did he go for cure to AIIMS.He should have cured himself on his own since he knows better than doctors as he wants every body to believe.Fact is that he is history blind and his pushing the deal really amounts to an act of treason since it harms the security of India as US will get control of our Nuke power. If the PM can list a single benefit for India in the deal then why doesn't he do it. India has a large community of scientists and engineers.Even President Kalam pointed out that the deal was not in India's interest. Mrs.Sonia Gandhi is not an engineer or scientist and how can she talk of electric power generation when she has no understanding of it. In 1992,MMS immensely harmed India's defence capablity when he unwisely and blindly abrogated the Rupee trade agreement with USSR/Russia.It all shows that the PM MMS is not the right person to be the PM of India when he does things to harm India's basic security and has a track record of harming India's security. The deal as it is in the present shape it is anti-India, needs to be thrown out into a dustbin. IAEA representative Dr. El-Bashir (from Syria???) came ahead of time to inspect India's Nuclear Facilities. This itself shows hidden intentions behind this deal. I doubt even USA is aware of many things behind this.

All of us including MMS forget that PVN Rao then PM managed the political part of 1991 economic reforms and credit shd therefore go to PVN and not to MMS. Obvoiusly present political manager ( UPA Cp Sonia) neither has the capability nor sincerity to back up any national issue like deal or Ramsethu except her family. JUst because you entered the deal without taking people into confidence (MMS had all along was telling Parliament and Public " wait for for the fonal draft before opininating)and now he is blackmailing all the political class with take it or take my headdefacto. It is clear cheating of public by MMS.

Sorry to differ.Indian communists have always sided with the interests of International Communism.Their loyalty was never with our Country. Take the example of 1942.They were fighting against the British along with the Congress for the Country's independence.But suddenly,Hitler attacked Russia and then Russia, the Communist fatherland joined Britain.Immdtly the Indian Communists withdrew from the Independence struggle, their arrested leaders were released and the rest is history. Come to 1962.Chinese aggression against the unsuspecting Nehru.The Communists were not on India's side. Their loyalty to the Movement is beyond national boundaries. The writing on the wall is clear.China is going to be the biggest power, in another decade's time.Then they will try to overrun all others in Asia. but USA in their own selfinterest-not out of love for India- wants somebody like India to be able to resist the Chinese and prevent their becoming the World No 1. So, that is why America is willing to develop India's nuclear capability without insisting on our signing the Nuclear Non-proliferation agreement.This policy will change if a Democratic Party President rules USA.Hence the urgency to push thro the deal.Man MohanSingh is right.Let us understand these realities and mobilise support for him.
