See these events unfold past 6-8 months.. I cannot understand certain things. Why cant india have both these deals. Why is USA pressuring india to have only one deal and what is confusing is that india is bowing to US pressure... Pakistan can import gas from iran but india cannot ... WHY.. Indian public is so dumb and myopic that it cannot see the big picture. I am glad that we have left parties who have highly educated and broad minded people ... India in 15-20 years is goin to be energy hungry and we need both the deals... US for its interest is keeping india out and pakistan in.. Who is the real ally of US - INDIA OR PAKISTAN.. Indias should think about this.

First Thing , it not a question of who is ally of whom.
It is a purely commercial deal.
IPI deal is not getting through as Pakistan is double charging TRANSIT FEE as compared to Current international rates.
If transit issue with pakistan is resolved India can move ahead.
Whether it is India Pakistan IRan or Iran Pakistan alone, Iranians will need US technology and key components to get the pipeline project going. China / Russia can not support that kind of technology which is needed.

No country in the world can progress or prosper by having so called friendly deals with America. You can see the history.
Mr.Frank Pallone is right. The deal should have been highlighted as an energy deal and not as a Indo-American civilian nuclear deal. The commies in India are opposed to anything American, be it good or bad. In the name of ideology they have to oppose America, just like in the name of secularism they have to show to be anti-Hindu! Look at West Bengal after 30 years of commie rule. What have the commies to show in the name of development in West Bengal. Zilch. Now, with 60 odd MPs they are holding the nation to ransom. They have no qualms in accepting an Italian as the de facto leader of the country, but will oppose America at any cost, even if it means development for India. And they say they are doing everything in national interest. Which nation?
With people like Karat and his bunch we don't need Pakistan and China on our borders. Everyone knows how China and Pakistan geared up to scuttle the n-Deal. Thanks to Karat and co ...they saved a lot of time and energy. China has trained them well... !!
