such frequent and breezy statements on navin and orissa will serve no purpose. everybody knows about the ineffective administration in orissa. even in steel sector none of the MOU are fructifying and all will become null and void because of the cost and time overruns.even the posco project is a big joke!!!!even after a huge fanfare nothing is crystal clear about the iron ore mines.naveen is with loggerheads with bjp.
chidambaram has got no political maturity and nothing can be expected from him with seriousness.

Few Q to Navin
by Mr Utkal Ranjan on Oct 22, 2007 04:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

1. First of all he should publicly distribute his CV stating his achievements during his leadership as Cm of Orissa
2. Why he is going to break the environment with industrial plants ?
3. Why he is not aggressively advertising Orissa as a IT hub ?
4. Why the govt is not allowing retail bigies in state ? rather supporting the middle dalals, who are eating the consumers money and not giving the right amount to farmers ?
5. What he has done for the cure of corruption in Orissa ?

Naveen is not like Laloo ...
by Subhra Rani Rana on Oct 22, 2007 04:13 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Navin has no brother-in-law (saala) and wife. So no favouratism to own men. He is very honest and yound and think for development od state only. He should be given at leat 5 chances to rule the state. I am sure he will make Orissa No-1 aftre that

I agree 100% with subhra's comments.
A State wants an uncorrupt Leader which Orissa has while no other State has ; Naxalism, kidnapping etc., are in Andhra Pradesh, Bihar , etc., while they have corrupt leaders
as an added fuel to fire. Orissans are lucky and should prefer Mr.Navin. Even his father, and other ex-chief Ministers of Orissa are all corrupt to the core and ruined Orissa contributing to its backwardness. Because he is uncorrupt Tatas etc., are attracted to that State and still more entrepreneurs would like to come to Orissa if Mr. Navin patnaik continues as Chief Minister. One should be aware that corruption is the root cause that can ruin a State or a Country and deters development which India is now going thro. That is why all other States also need such clean Chief Ministers like Mr. Naveen. Development can be done by this Chief Minister if people of Orissa and Opposition parties co-operate instead of putting a spoke of criticism.

A reasonable article with some corrections
by Umashankar DAS on Oct 22, 2007 04:11 PM  Permalink

The Author presents a good analysis, while overlooking a couple of points.
1. The Truth is obvious that the opposition in the state is rudderless. The Congress is plagued with Infighting.
2. The communists have zero presence.
3. Naveen's erstwhile corrupt collegues have joined hands with NCP.

Today's Media also seems to highlight problems which have been common issues all through Orissa's history like floods and diseases. This is not a new problem, but, a perennial issue on Orissa.

This will not affect the Voters though
