Can you guarantee there will be necessary mandate in favour of the deal after the elections?

I take that by 'necessary mandate' you mean if Congress would form govt without being dependent on the Left. I say chances of that happening now is better than the scheduled elction in 2009 due to anti-incumbency factor and the fact that BJP is still in disarray now and will likely strengthen by 2009, and the Left would likely to win less seats than they did last time. Besides, now that the govt has capitulated to the balatant demands of the Left on nuke deal, the blackmailing Left would only asks for more knowing Congress weakness and that would mean this govt would be lame duck govt without the ability to take any initiative to which the Left is opposed to for the rest of its term.
So should India continue with a lame duck govt and PM whose prestige and authority compromised, or going for a fresh election and let the people decide how they want their govt to operate?

Which is the one party dominating India? The Congress? Or CPM?
All these anti national and pro-chinese communists and selfish and boneless congress will destroy Hindustan. They are using nusring illeteracy and poverty (not illetrate people and poor people)and gaining vote. What to do?? What do you suggest???
This 123 nuclear crap should be scrapped as soon as possible. It is of no use. It is just like giving into an imperialist nation. US just cares about herself and not about ne1 else. This is this same country who once threatened us with nuclear strike during 1971 war supporting pakistan. America can never be trusted. They didnt care about India for more than 60 years, but now when they need cheap labour and good open markets, they are trying to lure Indians by giving this stupid nuclear deal. They havent built any nuclear power stations themselves since 3 mile island accident in Pennsylvania. Who are they to tell us as to how to solve our energy problems. Americans shove this nuclear deal up your fat a**es and mind your own business. Keep up the good work comrade Bardhan and other communists. don't let this deal pass at any cost. Jai Hind.

I have given shelter?? What r u nuts or something? Whose side r u putting me on? Why dont u try to understand that this deal will be like handing over of India's econominc soverignity to ur beloved US. Also, it is better if you try to do things on ur own. Currently it may look like it will take a long time, but in the long run u will see that it is a better option..self sufficiency is a great thing. Try to do things on ur own. Also, this nuclear deal is not going to solve any problems overnight, it will take about a decade to get things on road and at the end of it, India would have become economically dependent on US, as nuclear technology is not cheap.
Without electricity:- country cannot grow - communism can grow. Poverty will increase then also communism will grow. Madamma Gandhi afraid about people(election) her selection of her son to helm also gone to hell. Her kitchen cabinet - Ambiaka soni and Ahmed Patel weakens the party and guide her to failure. The solution is to obey the left and enjoy power till the term ends. India is not a matter only butter for communists. China is their Master.
It is terrible. The communists want the deal to be off. A deal which is vehemently opposed by our enemies and still these communists are with them and that too shamelessly . Tell the nation why they dont want the deal. This is ridiculous. They have bulldozed any developmental activity in Kerala as far as I know. If given a chance to rule, they will make sure that India is not progressed in any field.

best thing happened deal is off, we are protected from kneeling down to thug like US of A. remember 30 years back the US denied us food grains , we did make green revolution, our nuclear technology is the best, we do not need US ( or an east india company) to rob in broad day light. The left has saved India and Indians from slavery.

Actually, it is not terrible. We should repose our faith in the leadership of Mdm Sonia Gandhi followed by Mr Rahul Gandhi. They are the only hopes for the poor and down-trodden masses of India.

The Government's main interest is to stay in power. Only Mdm Sonia Gandhi has the power to decide if elections should be held or not. We should all pray to her to avoid the scourge of mid-term elections.
Can anyone tell me why the central govt is shy to add a single line in 123 pact that the hyde act provisions SHALL not be applicable to India so far as 123 pact is concerned..? This is a million doller question. The US and central govt say that it will not be brought into operation, then why dont they commit it by a specific mention in the pact? Except Lefts, and a section of pro US in congress party, really none has scrutinized the 123, not even BJP..dont think about rest of UPA members..

The stock market crashed because of ill-timed announcements by the Finance Ministry. In any case, ctock markets are anathema to communists. All stock exchanges should be closed immediately.

Please don't ask inconvenient questions. It is an Energy Deal for India & a Business Deal for USA.Left look at it as a Foreign Policy matter. BJP consider it a Political issue and oppose it since they are in opposition.
