In national interest
by Rakesh Bhandary on Oct 21, 2007 03:11 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Atleast in our nation's interest, BJP or other parties should provide outside support to Congress and let Left go to hell, so that this deal goes through and atleast electricity crisis is resolved. These Left (and other ministers) have 24hrs un-interrupted power supply, hence they do not understand the problems faced by farmers, industries and hospitals (where due to power cuts, I have seen operations carried out under torch light!!). Same applies to Medha Patkar and Co., 24 yrs delay, 3.2 million hectares unirrigated, 4000MW per year electricity not harvested, and loss of employment plus escalation in cost of construction.

When will these pieces of S**T die and leave the country to develop? I thought that Prakash Karat is atleast an educated person and will act in country's interest. Sadly mistaken, i guess.

Dear Rakesh,
Prakash Karat and gang will never support the deal because
1. Its being done with the USA.
2. Any economically progressive agenda will be negated by the so called communists, as they will lose followers if people become affluent.
3. These elements absolutely hate anything that India stands for, eg. its religion, philosophy etc. Not only they look upto China for guidance, they will never call Pakistan an enemy of India. In that sense these elemnts are more dangerous than the terrorists at our border.
Lastly, BJP is no different. They have proved to be a bunch of petty politicians. This deal was started by them, however, I wonder why they are not supporting the congress as the deal is on the verge of being a success. Prakash Karat and gang have no bright future in India for sure, but the hindutva party has proved themselves to be anything but prohindustan. Thanks.

I fully agree with you. Let the commies go down the drain and BJP, if they love the country, must support UPA for now from outside at least so that they can complete their term. BJP is much more reliable than the opportunist comrades.

But commies are unreliable, opportunist and blackmailing terrorist outfit. They once supported SIMI also just for votes. Commies are basically some of the migrants from East Pakistan (currently Bangladesh) and agents of China. Rather NDA or BJP is much more trustable company.

I think You are absolutely right. Basically, if we remove the slavery aspect (towards the Gandhi family) of Congress, both the BJP and Congress are all the same. Whatever, if the deal is signed, that'd be of national interest. Now where do these Chinese agents go? Neither BJP nor the Congress won't need these snakes.

It seems you don't have knowledge about Indian politics. Left will certainly know what its actual worth is if elections are held BUT this is applicable to Congress and Sonia as well. She will also know what her actual worth is. Congress got hardly 140 MP's last time and media (english) created this fake halo around her. Congress will stick to power hook or croock. They don't give it a damn for national interests.

Congress surrender to anti-India Left
by Jit Dutta on Oct 20, 2007 11:14 PM  Permalink

Karat & Co who never forgave the US for winning the cold war. So now Karat & Co would "stick" it to the US even if it means harming India's interests. Only China, Pakistan and the "Indian" Left are opposed to the nuclear deal. Any Indian but a communist creep can do the math of that anti-India threesome. For the record, there is nothing in the agreement that requires India to assist the US attacking anybody; India has full reprocessing rights under the deal. And most importantly India breaks free of the technology denial regime that was imposed under NPT. China has ordered several nuclear power plants from the US and western companies so that it can continue to power up its economy while the Left in India would prevent the country from breaking free of its nuclear shackles and thus keep permanently hobbled vis-a-vis China.

What is really disconcerting in this whole episode is the shameless capitulation of Congress to the blatant blackmail of the Left. Such cowardly surrender to Left diktats has been going on during the entire duration of the regime and yet this is by far the most damaging episode for long-term Indian interests. Manmohan Singh has lost his honor and position of respect in the eyes of Indian people. Sonia Gandhi has proved that she only cares about ensuring the future position for her family. Finally, none of the political parties care about Indias future and that includes BJP as well given its glee at govts discomfit and refusal to come to deals rescue.

Leftist curse
by bala sreenivasan on Oct 20, 2007 10:53 PM  Permalink

It is India's fate that these anti-national force on the payrolls of China should be elected to the Parliament in such large numbers in the May 2004 elections.
They want communism everywhere except in the states ruled by them!
Both BJP and Congress should arrive at a consensus to clamp down a ban on these disruptive forces.
In West Bengal, ration shops are handled by private sector! Can anything me more incongruous.
People should wake up and hound them out of poltics at least in the next elections

Need a exact clarification
by Gandhirajan S on Oct 20, 2007 10:52 PM  Permalink

Govt should first of all explain the details of the N-deal to the educated people rather than illeterate people.

If we go for the N-deal, whether US would prevent India to stop doing Nuclear research for millitary? If this is a case then Govt should explain to US about the security threat faced from Pak, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and from many other terrorist gangs. I think we are having enough proof to explain to US. If US still does not agree to it then better drop the deal.

Lets make india's growth story real
by bihari babu on Oct 20, 2007 10:45 PM  Permalink

India is a story of high growth and big companies from around the globe are coming to be part of it. But there is no govt.or society's stretegy to use their money for over all growth. The money has to be used for infrastructure and provide job skills in smaller town. Both requires huge fund and only biggies can help there. China is already investing billions in job skill education. They know that is going to be root of ecoenomic power. In india still our millions of people r memorising history, goegraphy data which they will forget any way once out of school.
