What ever decision Government take that's supposed to be in public interest. But Removing Blue line is it in interest of Normal public. What about the 10000 families dependent on them. How about snatching the bread of Blue line dependent and giving that bread with butter to corporate houses who will run cluster services
hi! as usual, we r looking at the prob from the wrong end! those with a sense of history will recall that originally, local transport was opened to private operators as Redline buses bcoz of inefficiency of DTC and reckless driving by its drivers! when Redline buses turned into "killers", their name was changed simply to Blueline. Fact of the matter is, we have no sense of discipline on road! be it a pedestrian, a cyclist, a rickshaw-wallah, handcart-puller, a n auto-rickshw, a car driver, bus-driver, and all others! nobody wants to follow even the basic traffic rules and every kind of vehicle shares the same space, irrespective of its speed and stability! bikers r virtually a terror on road and, believe me, car-drivers r afraid of them! a little touch and the car suffers a dent and the biker will just speed away without even a "sorry! "! there is hardly any move on part of the government to control the growing number of vhicles bcoz they have to pander to the whims of the auto-industry. it's well-nigh impossible to see a solution to this problem in the present set up! media is interested only in the sensation aspect of theproblem instead of promoting an unbiased analysis for reaching a solution! but, that is the state of practically all the problems facing the indian society!

Couldnt agree with you more. Everyone in India breaks rules and takes pride in breaking them. From pedestrians to truck drivers and everyone. We pride on being a courteous society but we dont stick to our lanes when we drive. If its a 2 lane road 5-6 Vehicles will be in those 2 lanes.Everyone is in a hurry to go somewhere. This is true for citizens across the country. We dont respect the speed limits. And what to talk of pedestrians, Crossing a National Highway in the middle of the road along. This includes educated/qualified people as well. In India we are looking for shortcuts in everything.

BLUE LINE BUS CONDUCTER ARE TAKING FARE IN DOUBLE FORM TODAY DT.04.11.09.
Its very simple how to phase out all blue line buses. Delhi Govt will do nothing bcoz buses are owned by MLA's & MP's. If we handover the charge to Big players like Tata our problem will be solved or introduce more DTC buses exchange of blue lines.

I agree with rajeshwar kaushik,
But you have totaly got wrong.. Why arn't people walking on FOOT PATH in first place OR tought to walk on pavement and NOT on middle of the road specially on path of Blueline bus..there is no disaplin or should I say maners when boarding or embarking the Bus AND what about Trains same behaviours... when ever I travel India we are amazed and are forced to use taxi or Tourist bus it would be nice to see vehicles not runnig in middle of the Road too... another 100 years Dinesh
