Benazir is certain to come back to power in Pakistan as driven by current turmoil. No power on earth can stop her occupying the chair to rule the country.

by Mr Ekbote on Oct 18, 2007 06:19 PM  Permalink

Why is the Media so Obsessed with the happenings in Pakistan.Even in the SAREGAMAPA programme why Pakistani Singer? They do not allow Indian Music then Why this Love for them? It appears as though we are in Paksitan when we see tv news channels today. This is height of Appeasement.by the channels and each one is there to outdo the other. How does it matter to the normal indian on the street? I just shut the Tv and was enjoying the songs on local radio staion
thank god we have alternative entertainment.

Dear friends we should see our own bunch of politicians who day in and day out make us donkey and thrive on our money. We have to correct our own system before we air our views on others.

Please don't buy anything from Rediff shopping, their service is very poor & most of the time (98% times) you receive a faulty/broken/old product. So beware of Rediff.com...

What a shame
by Dileep on Oct 18, 2007 05:10 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Look at the state of democracy in Pakistan. A dictator making changes to the constitution as per his will, religious fanatics sharing power with him, political leaders being send into exile, the power of judiciary being undermined, no rule of law in northern parts of the country and nobody bothered about basic stuff like literacy and health care. Utter chaos.

Pakistan is certainly going to the dogs.

Except for the dictator amending the constitution and politicians sent into exile the same conditions exist in India also, so is your country going to the dogs too? media coverage decides opinions let me elaborate:

RSS, VSS Shared power with the BJP and are still holding on to much of it despite a congress government.NO rule of law in Indias north either. No body bothered about health care and basic stuff. Keep in mind a popoluation equal to Pakistans sleeps in swere pipes in India just because you dont get to see them on TV doesnt mean they are NOT there. So just shut up and follow events in Pakistan as Indians do get fascinated with our country anyway.

RSS etc. never says that Hindu khatre me hai as like for every small event of their dislike - Islam khatre me hai said by Muslim fanatics of India / Pakistan and other Islamic countries.

In India Muslim ladies wears Burka only while they are in Muslim populated locality and take it away when they crosses their own locality ie enters non-musim populated area. This is the difference in India and Pakistan......

There is no term like jehad or holi war in any religion except Islam and they mould it as per their liking.

RSS et al are never anti-muslim, they are against appeasement policy of government towards Muslims for vote politics...

We never gets water supply on water/colour festival of Holi and no electricity on Light festival of Deepawali and on the other part you get water supply with full pressure on Eid etc... with total electricity supply....

Rule of Law is always good for Muslims in India - those who attacked parliament are advocated for clemacy even by Indian politicians like Farookh Abdullah, Rubaiya Sayeed and Gulam Nabi Azad

See my comments about Jagmohan above.....

There are 10 times more people India than the population of Pakistan living a better life as compared to Average Pakistani citizen...

This is the true face of India....

Thoough I am an Indian, I do agree with some of your comments, Yaqoot. The situation in terms of health care, litracy in India, though 100 times better that your Pakistan, is still of a third world and the politicians eat it all away. Now, I guess, even god cannot save my country.

Your country is a gone case anyways as you guys see India as a land of opportunities and to run away from islamic opressions.

Also to remind - our beloved politicians hand in glove with her - when Jagmohan was made Lt. Governer of J&K she had said I will make him Bhag Mohan and just one day after her statement Jagmohan was recalled by Rajiv Gandhi the then Prime Minister........
While apparently they abuse and acuse Pakistan for every wrong this in India....
