CRICKET
by Ashish on Oct 18, 2007 01:20 PM  Permalink

Let there be an open disscusion between players involved in the farce. Why every time Symond is involved? It should be thoroughly probed.A match to be taken in good spirit.Whoever responsible should be warned and reprimanded publicly.Aussie also cant escape from the wrong doing.

WHY DIDN't CALCUTTAN POLICE BOOK RICKY PONTING FOR MISBEHAVING AND MOLESTING CALCUTTAN WOMEN AT A DINNER IN A HOTEL?
by Kabeer on Oct 18, 2007 12:13 PM  Permalink

Why didn't the Indian police display the same eagerness to book Ricky Ponting when he not only misbehaved verbally but also virtually molested a few ladies at a dinner in Calcutta when he first visited India under Mark Taylors captaincy?

Those hapless ladies even complained and there were many vitnesses in that high end restaurant. Ricky Ponting was drunk-Did the Indian police check whether Ricky was carrying his permit to drink alcohol then?

Indian society is unself-respecting, shameless and spineless!

They don't hesitate to book four spectators who made a few monkey chants. Where were these private channels then? Do they want the pictures of that episode?

aussie double standards
by ravi kumar on Oct 18, 2007 07:36 AM  Permalink

this is sheer hypocrisy and double standards. the extent of abuse and taunts by aussie players against brian lara and ranatunga is legendary.

its a shame that they should complain , cry and weep about getting a dose of their own medicine.

the australian crowds racially taunted monty panisar and kevin pietersen in the last english tour to australia. they also racially abused the south african team.

it was to such an extent that ICC had to intervene and the aussie PM had to express his regrets.

was any one of the spectators arrested.

no. this is the aussie way of life.

after all they are descendants of hardcore prisoners and criminals.

its in their blood and genes. you cannot expect better behaviour from them. its like expecting a tiger to eat grass

Enough is enough

Why BCCI and India police recall the rules when it is against Indians?
Well Aussies have used far more abusing words on and in field against India players. Where does this BCCI and India (Bombay) police sleeping at that time?
Now my advice to them is not act over smart with Indian citizens.
And my congrats to symonds for acting his role as "innocent baby" as if he never used abused words against anybody in his career.

Finally an Australian has broken down in public
If he had just ignored the comments initial nothing would have happened .
Austrialian talk of toughness here we see they are cry babies.

Symonds if you say you are pumped up by the comment , why are you talking about it at every instance.
Accept the truth that you are hurt?
if you accept that it hurts then it is an abuse

if you are not hurt how can it be an abuse. you guys say lot of thing on field.
Can we take that as abuse?

Aussie stop acting in nonsense way
if you do something nonsense except nonsense from other

A nonsense is not an effective response against another nonsense.
It is ok if someone boos - what is sickening in this episode is the personal attacks at an individual that is perceived as racial. While, it is another debate that it is racial or otherwise - its deplorable to see Indians monkey and taunt a visitor. Boo him and make him realize the displeasure of being a cry baby, but for gods sake not taunt and tease him like a caged animal in a zoo. Instead if setting an example, we do exactly what the crowds did to Murali. If that is justified, then by all means, lets me the splendid specimens that the 4 crooks were, lets go against our culture of "Athithidevo Bhava", lets not take the side of the meek and behave like a bully that we have become in the cricketing world.

But shame on all the folks who support what the 4 fools did. Shame on all the folks who believe in an attitude that encourages distasteful, meaningless, personalised version of a sport that we have come to like

BCCI and the police want to prove a point....
by JM on Oct 18, 2007 02:53 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This is just to prove to ICC and ACB that BCCI and the Indian police are working very hard and taking action against racism complaint by the big baby- (big 'gorilla' baby) Symonds.

The spectators who have been arrested for "acting indecently" should not only defend themselves vigorously, they should file a defamation case against BCCI and the police if they are found to be innocent.

If I knew the names of these arrested spectators, I will donate money for their defense.

Hi Roses dear,

You have no right to use word "stinking word" here. You are putting that on the whole country.

That was not sane act at all on your side. If you want to convey message in a right manner, please do it without mud slinging.

Monkey Talk

This is ridiculous. Our police and system just works on hypes and hysterias. Symonds is acting like a baby. With the amount of sledging australians, I think they should have been trained in taking some crap from others too. Shame !!

dear indians
let us not abuse anyplayer from any country because we expect the same from other country. Whatever happens between players must be left to player only and public must stay out of it
i hope Indians will not be treated the same way.
