domestic politics

I think UPA's descision has indeed affected credibility of the government.

However,I believe that since the deal was not signed only "agreed"-means that India did not commit on this.

Secondly this deal is also subject to political situation in the US.

Last,I still believe that we need to agrresively work on the Fast breeder technology
so that such deals are not required.

"Secondly this deal is also subject to political situation in the US." --every deal sign with US is subjected to political situation everywher and in every country.

"Last,I still believe that we need to agrresively work on the Fast breeder technology" -- timeline is fixed 2055AD (thorium based)..you can import reactors workd on combination of Thorium, Uranium and plutonium from THORIUM POWER (name of the US company)...

technically you can be correct but not economics wise...so not practical possible..

John Howard has declared elections in Australia. So, naturally the Uranium deal is in the back burner.
