From the blog www.satyameva-jayate.org I read about this shameful and horrifying rape in Tehelka%u2019s recent issue and it filled me with rage and a deep sense of frustration%u2026Rage at what happened and the indifference of police authorities and frustration that these kind of crimes are still being seen through the prism of caste.
Here is a shocking excerpt of what happened to Para Devi (from Tehelka):
%u201COn June 23, Para, a Dalit daily wage labourer from Santoshpura, left home for work at 8am with her husband, Ranglal.
Feeling unwell during the day, she set out for the hospital; on the way, her neighbour Kalu Ram offered her a ride in his car. Two other men, Harsahai and Kajod, were in the same car and three others, Sohan Lal, Indraraj and Jagdish, were later picked up.
For the next three days, the six men drove Para from village to village, raping her in turn.
When she protested, they beat her; when she asked for water, they gave her country liquor mixed with Limca. She was made to urinate in the car and given no food.
On June 26, Para was dropped, wounded, torn, only half-conscious, at the Phagi bus stand with Rs 20 and a threat not to open her mouth or her family would be killed. When her husband tried to lodge an FIR, he was turned away%u2026%u201D

What happened to Para was not (just) a crime against a Dalit women - it was a crime against a helpless woman, it was a crime against humanity, it was a murder of values that we cherish%u2026(

Its not that thousands of Hindu girls are marrying Hindu boys contrary to the noise made and "statistics" presented. People like Todi know what they have to do and they have done that. We also know CBI inquiry is a sham and nothing will come out. Todi sabko "lux ki chaddhi" pehnaa degaa.
And as far as the few Hindu girls who do end up marrying muslim boys - why bother about their fate ? they know what they are getting into.
If Hindus are so worried about muslims taking away the girls - please learn tricks of seduction , build your body in the gym , eat good amount of animal fat to build muscle etc etc....only through martial strength comes power. Not by living a lazy life , eating ghass phoos and and becoming fat.

look mirror - I understand your problem. If muslims marry 4 women, then the 3/4th of muslims are forced to seek Hindu brides. Many seem so desperate that one ends up pitying them. I have seen them go to great lengths to patao girls in colleges and gyms - many get slapped and beaten up inthe process but they continue to do that. One or two like Rizwanur even succeed. Soem Hindu girls who marry muslim boys are so chalu that they break the family of the poor boy - lene ke dene pad jaate hain. And with the domestic violence act around - the girls have an upper hand over muslim boys they marry. That is elementary maths.....

You guys always drag religion everywhere.You guys are biased. Yours principle should be to appreciate good works and protest bad works irrespective of religions and politics. In this case the boy (Rizwanur) was educated and intelligent. He was under
tremendous presuure from crorepati bussinessman (wife's dad) and local top level police officers. He faced lot of life threating talks/phone calls from them.But one thing Riz did - he documented all these and informed all NGO's and govt. bodies including the human right
commissions in writings. After his death (murder or suicide), his mother filed a law suit to
Kolkata high court with all those documnets, asking for CBI investigation (since local police commissioner was involved in this case). Now, after looking into the case, the judge of kolkata high court accepted his mother's appeal and gave the verdict in favour. I don't see any religion politics here. I would only say the judge is brave and taken right decision.

I am from West Bengal. Within the last few years in our hometown, two Hindu men were beaten to death by the police in the police station. There was no CBI probe, no convictions. Because they were Hindu. Now there is a hue and cry because the victim is a Bihari Muslim tried to seduce a Marwari Hindu girl to get hold of her father's property of more than Rs.200 Crores. Why dosen't islam allow a woman to marry 4 men? BTW your friend, Sachar committee report has stated that most muslims live in squalor. Draupadi's marraige to more than one husband shows the broad mindedness of ancient hindus. Bhagwan Krishna married 16K ladies as they were prisoners of Narakasura, the demon he killed and these ladies parents were not willing to take them back, so his choice was to simply abandon them or marry them. Notice the difference, prophet mohammed married Sufiya after killing her father, what do you say about that. He married Aiysha when she was 6 and plying with her dolls. Any comments?

Sure OM . Everyone has a right to live his own way and that is what Todi also followed. The father is responsible for his daughter's well being when he is alive and even after he is long dead. Seeking divorce for Priyanka from Rizwanur would be good for his daughter as we do not know the fate that awaited Priyanka when she went to live with uneducated people in filthy surroundings. It is not about religion alone - he would have been as upset if the guy was of lower class Hindu. Rizwanur would have commited suicide as he was foolishly in love with Priyanka and did not want to be separated. He knew Todi is powerful guy who will ensure Priyanka never goes back to him. This is one thing he did not bargain for( I give him credit for that and not some huge conspiracy to convert Hindu girls )

Islam has given the highest status to women, which no other religion has given. 1) Islam has given legal right to women to have share in father's property. Has any other religion given that right? 2) Islam has given legal right to re-marry a widow or divorced women. Has any other religion has given that right? 3) Islam recommends death penalty to some one who rapes your sister or daughter.
