Vinamra, I agree with most of what you say. Murki, What has this freedom given you? It is important but its not the only thing you need....You still have lousy govt like what happened in Karnataka? It pains me to read daily about riots, bomb blasts, Bandhs, protests? We were a democratic country with socialist leaders (Nehru era) and we could never really change when we wanted to 1990s. While China were Socialist country and probably thats why they could change when they wanted and changed for the good of MAJORITY of their population...

Left parties praise China's growing economy and it's development. Now news come BJP's development state Gujarat is cracking and Congress' states HP and Kashmir also cracking.
I saw some comments that china built three gorges dam etc...
Do you know three gorges dam displaced around 2 million people and no body was ready to talk against this mass displacement !!! What do you think it is because they are happy? No not at all it is because they are afraid to speak against the governament!!!!
I think Living a free life like in India is better than Living a fearful life with less freedom (Equalent to a good quality prison life) like in china????
Do you ever thought with one child policy the future generations every working couple has to support 4 old age non working persons? will it be a burden or not?

After the Beijing Olympics, the REAL CHINA will surface. China has 4 new Airbases in Tibet with new Hong-7Bombers and they've already intruded into Arunachal & Sikkim. They oppose our Army Bunkers in Sikkim but happily PUT C-SS2 Missles in Tibet. Pakistan is Holding india in a HEADLOCK over Kashmir because of Chinese Assistance. Skardu Airbase had Chinese Advisors. My guess is after the Beijing olympics, china will launch a multi-pronged attack to WEAKEN & HUMILIATE INDIA Our exports, our Soft ware & Call centre jobs will be taken by China.There will be a raise in Left wing terrorism all along our east coast. India is our mother & We R her KIDS All of us Indians got to work together on all issues and make our country better. We can and we will do so. Every Indian is a SHAREHOLDER of INDIA & we all have RIGHT & DUTY to solve our Nation's problems and to Strengthen out Country. There are lot of good things which India can adopt from China. The descipline in China leads to everything. Everthing on time and there is time for everthing. China's Security System is much stronger than India. Surprise check in the City, International Arrival Airport for identification. Moreover, Indian government should make compulsory for every citizen to carry their photo identification. Police should have authority to demand if they find any person doubtful. This tool could control terrorist in India. India can grow bigger than any other country as India has very good talented people. Currently these talented being used in different countries and they are progressing, the reason being these talented people have no scope or identification in India.

I don't think India needs to ape anyone. India will progress but at its own rate. We are far better than the world outside. 60 years after independance, America was immersed in a civil war, as far as India is concerned, it has done a lot of good work. We are India, which is the largest secular socialist repulic in the world. As far as economy is concerned, By 2012, we will be giving strong competition to China in Manufacturing. (Capgemini's consultant arm has predicted this)

Well, in that respect, I would tell people in India to forget economics. We need to think big. Individuals should first think about themselves. By this, I mean Consumerism, "You Will get money, if give anything out of the box to people." Ecomomy does not make you rich. You have to do it your way, forget about the outside world. We'll have to make our system and our own world because remember, one thing India is home to many religions, castes and races.

Government knows survival of the fittest strategy of the world. China built Three Gorgeous Dam. They put the project and World Bank and others came forward with Loans. Where as in India we have Ganga-Cauvery Plan still pending. In India we have good planners but not implementers, where as in China they have implementing mechanism as well. Thus we also must have better implementing strategies. In fact we are not utilizing our full potentials including our talented human resources. Hope all one billion citizens will have one plan, one action, feedback and correction mechanism in future. Let all the living legends like Mr. Tata, Dr. A.P. J. Abdul Kalam, Mr. Narayan Murthy, my parents, your parents, and seniors see the Developed nation called India in 2020 A.D. If China can do with so much hardship with 6 months in Snow then why cannot in India we do with 12 months good climate, I don%u2019t know. Hope for the best. Let us take lesson from China and Western Developed Countries. Already Swami Viveknanda said, %u201CWe%u2019ll give lesson of Vedanta to West and take lesson of Technology from them.%u201D However, 100 years and we did not take our lesson. they are happy coz they got more land to cultivate and better jobs... and noone can hold 1300million peoples in proson...no. of people displaced are 1.2 million..
when CNN said about the illness of our late prime minister vajpayee he got furious and angry and article was banned...a lot of journalist and people are killed saying against ministers/government....
there people are having more trust on their government..

Vision, Plan and Action.Feedback and Correction. Again better plan implementation is what China is.I have seen my Chinese friends in Institutes and Industries. Professors put 12 hours of work irrespective of their social status. Publish at least 6 Research Papers every year. Guide 8 PhD in the span of 4 years with Result. PhD Projects are implemented into Industry and Government take feed back on it. In Industry, Theory is Practical. Ethics and Truthfulness is very common. Chinese pull Chinese towards forward direction unlike other world, where others pull a person going forward. Once my Mechanical Engineer friend had a project he did not have funds, other Chinese Electrical Engineers, civil Engineers put money on his project and asked him to return when he get and of course at 0% interest. My Mechanical Engineer friend involved at least 10 more Chinese, just to know openly how the Project is done. Next time he had 10 competitors, but together they pulled 20 projects from various nations. Thus geometrically they grew.
