We need BJP!!
by Contractor on Oct 16, 2007 01:04 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We need BJP in this country. Who else can provide such humour and nautanki in this country ? The congress is a truly boring party - it talks of uninteresting stuff like development , garibi hatao , bijli ,women's rights, minority protection, secularism , bringing poor and dispossessed to mainstream , economic reforms , privatization etc etc. Not much fun

BJP is Frustrated!!
by Contractor on Oct 16, 2007 01:03 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

BJP is so hungry for power that one feels sorry for them. Having tasted power once they just cannot wait to get back. All their predictions of mid-term elections since 2004 when they lost the election have come to naught. They will be well advised to change course, give up communalism, break their relations with the RSS, Shiv Sena and VHP, think in terms of nation's good and support the Govt on issues that are worthy of support and not oppose for the sake of opposition. Opposition party in a democracy is meant to be a watch dog and not a compulsive opponent to oppose anything and everything that the Govt does. They should learn from the western countries from whom we have copied the system of parliamentary democracy. There on many issues the two sides get together if they find it is in the interest of the nation. On other issues they discuss and debate in a decent and disciplined manner and not create hungama and stage walkouts like the BJP has done in the last 3 1/2 years that they have been out of power. India badly needs a good, efficient and disciplined opposition party and the BJP can fulfil; that role if they have the wisdom and will to do so otherwise they can sulk and make stupid statements like some of their leaders do and stay in wilderness..

All parties have same ideology ie POWER by hook or by crook.

We educated people who do not vote are responsible for this. First we vote for personal benifits and then expect country to do well.

Lets face the music now.

Had every one in this country voted for personal benefits, I think the country would have way back got rid of poverty. We think more about others than ourselves. That is the whole problem

Save the N-Deal
by A K Singh on Oct 16, 2007 12:57 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

One cannot but agree with Sh. Udaybhaskar.
Any responsible opposition party would do it. But when did BJP behave as a responsible (Opposition or Governing) party.
I abhore BJP not because they are communal or secular, but because a bunch of confused leaders and are FOOLS of the highest order.

NOT CLEAR
by vicky on Oct 16, 2007 12:52 PM  Permalink

WILL CONGRESS APPROVE OF IT. SUPPOSE THE NUCLEAR BILL IS PASSED IN PARLIAMENT WITH BJP'S HELP.
THEN LEFT MAY BRING THE BILL ON FARMER'S SUICIDE OR ANY OTEHR ISSUE AFTER ONE MONTH AND PULL THE GOVT DOWN.
WHY WILL BJP COME TO CONGRESS' RESCUE ONE MONTH AFTER THE NUCLEAR BILL IS PASSED.
WILL CONGRESS BREAK THE MARRIAGE WITH CPI ...?
SUPPOSE A BILL COMES ON SACCHAR REPORT. SHOULD BJP SUPPORT THAT ALSO ?
IN SUCH CASE MID TERM POLLS ARE CLEARLY VISIBLE.

If these political people using their power to stop India's progress just for getting into the power and in democracy we need to stop this kind of people also those who are just halt all the process to stay in power we should have to come on street and stop all this nonsense and make them understand that every Indian now know that what is good for India and Indians.

I am fully agree with C Uday Bhaskar it is time for BJP to move forward and support the deal in favour of nation may be the move is not politically advantage for them but definatively it will pay back as people realise the benifits of deal.

BJP must step in and save the N-Deal
by Rangan NN on Oct 16, 2007 12:10 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Congress should forget the differences with BJP and go after the Leftists. Leftists need some publicity at the cost of congress. I support the Primite Minister. Congress should speak to our ex-Prime Minister Mr. Atul Bihari Vajpaee and seek his support. Forget the Leftists as they are opportunists

I fully agree with this view that the BJP should keep aside their differences with the Congress and support it in having this deal cleared. For this Congress also has to make proper approach to BJP

Inspite of differences at home, we broadly agreed with Indian's Foreign policies and moved along that line.
India aa a country always honoured International treaties and agreements.
Probably, this is first time we are going back on our promises.
But we learn it hard way.
This is a long term game. I am sure we will find our bearing in times to come.

While negotiating the deal, why Congress didn't ensure the support? Why they kept BJP in side and dark, claiming all the credit?
And now if the deal has come so far, why can't they stick to it? Congress is making mockery of India as well as the deal. They are just playing to show, see we are for it but because of left it's facing all the problem. When you are heading the govt, you should show the statesmanship and bold enough to stick to the ideas you believe in.
If they step back now this will show they were never serious before, it was just a political gimmic.

Through out the negotiations, BJP and all parties were briefed from time to time. They were all OK.

BJP just did not want to give the credit to UPA Govt. So they raised oppositions for the heck of it. BJP would have been more than happy had they got 50% of this deal.

Briefing was not enough... it was like news story for a channel. When you are working on something serious in national interest, you should have taken all the national parties in confidence, apprising them of all the necessary details, even could have engaged a representative member in discussion to ensure the buy in. Remember ABV was asked to address UN once.

Democracy India
by MD on Oct 16, 2007 12:10 PM  Permalink

It is true that CPI and CPI (M) are not supporting Congress on Nuclear Issue. Because we are all in a democratic country where every one and every political party (thousands of them) have a say on all matters of India's progress and in India's future. To make India move forward in fast leap and bounds in future, we should abolish religion, caste, regional states and have only 2 party system like in other western countries. This will only bring India into a more dominant mode of progress instead of having chats / discussions with xyz parties concerning all matters of governance.

Hate Present form of Parliamentary govt system!!!!
by A K on Oct 16, 2007 12:10 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dear All,

If realy we want to grow, properous and one of the top nation in the worlde then hate and support for direct election of Prime Minister not the present type. In which any incapable person can become PM or CM.... on the bais of numbers.

No one in the present government or in opposition thinking for well being of country.. Ruling part wants to surviev for five years and increase there and there party bank balance since they do not know they can come again and Opposition party just want to oppose since they are in oppositon.

The small local parties are like 'weeds' in the farm. They grow along the with the main seed and then spoils the complete farm.

Come on people of great India and hate this form of govt. Our country is great and do not allow to rule by these opportunitics.
