Good gesture by China, these two great countries can turn the fate of the world.
Still there are lot of confusion in India about China, may be due to politicians, we are to understand that human problems everywhere are the same. We can also learn a lot from China.

India and national interest
by patriot on Oct 15, 2007 01:30 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

do you think India is not driven by national interest. Why do you think india is reluctant to be democracy to Burma. India would rather get the road and rail work project and make money through the military junta than help the people of Burma. Talk about your country being selfish and only looking at national interest before you speak about china. India did the same in SL. According to IPKF army guy's book, India ordered to shoot LTTE supremo before the ink had even dried on the agreement. Much before the India-LTTE fight began. India is the most selfish country there is. Its a shame that a poor and pathetic country like India is becoming such.

You Sinhalas are a confused people.
The LTTE problem you have is your own making because of chauvinistic politicians in the 1950s.
It would have been better if Sri-Lanka was an Island State which was part of India as a province. Your economy would have taken off and you would have had the whole of India to find job oppurtunities.
You should be EVER GRATEFUL to India for allowing you to be an independent country.
Look at Taiwan, It lies just of the coast of china and chinese are making noises to annex it.
We Indians are not as covetous as the chinese.
If we Indians make up our mind, Sri-Lanka's status as an independent country will not last more than three days.

What are you talking about job opportunities. Despite a war, our GDP per capital is almost 50% higher than yours. we have one of the best standard of living, out health care and literacy level is comparable if not better than even Kerala. You speak crap. How can you take over Lanka when you can't even defeat the LTTE ha ha.

Chinese talk peace while planning for war all the time.
by Vishnu Sharma on Oct 14, 2007 11:58 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

"Last year, Chinese leaders put forward the concept of a harmonious world and we are making efforts in this aspect. First we have to build Asia as a harmonious region. In this, China's relation with India is very important,"
INDEED !

We Indians need to be on our guard constantly
We need atleast 10 more mountain divisions and 3 more paratrooper divisions.
We need to beef up our air-force in the Eastern wing.
We need to have one armoured division solely dedicated to the plains of Assam.
We need to increase our naval presence in the Bay of Bengal.
We need to augment our fleet of submarines.

We cannot afford to be taken by surprise again.

UP, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan have highest number of illiterate people. Why is it that CPI(M) cannot get even one MLA or MP from those states.
Also the percentages of uneducated people was much higher in USA( 26 percent are functionally illieterate) than in USSR( Zero).

If reading and writing your name is considered literate then kerala does figure in the max list! If these commi ruled states are so very literate, why arent they economically prosperous? If they cant draw in the moolah to build infrastructure, how does it help by calling a state 100% literate??? accoring to mr bose kerala must be more prosperous than the united states...

Harmonious relation with China! It is in the fool's dictionary. Look into the world today-there are involved in all the dirty politics in the world-be it Darfur, Myanmar, Tibet and even in their own land. Hu Jintao isn't elected by the people but by the Bully's of the Red Guards. Pity!!!

I agree completely. Anded to that they claim our Arunachal Pradesh. Very Very Dirty country. As Brahma Chelleny said that country is driven by not any specific idealogy(Communism or socialism), rather it is completely driven by its National Interest. And it is very funny to expect that it is thinking about "harmonous world/asia"
