62 war
by Desi on Oct 11, 2007 12:53 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Around 1962 India was young and developing very rapidly and was investing a lot in infrastructure assuming that Pakistan is our only enemy and our defense expenditure was very limited.

If they have not imposed that war on us we would have been a close economy if not better than china.

They succeeded in their strategy and we spent a lot in defense for next 10 yrs and lost track of development. Again the development is on boom and they are trying to act smart..
But this could very well be revenge time for us as any war will cost their development more than us.

I have lived amongst the chinese, they can never be trusted in any way. simply saying if i was a something, i would not have bee,n a silent spectator attacking my home. and would give the chinese or any country a kick for a peace talk. The lone leaders who stand out are Vallab Patel, Netaji Bose and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Mr. Jagtiani, Ur assessment is very correct. Dont worry abt these cheap comments by communists dogs. They r trying to destroy India frm inside. But just treat them as street dogs who keep barking.

Guys Be Strong...show your solidarity.
by Buddu Pandya on Oct 11, 2007 12:29 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Those of you, who still trust China, are a bunch of fools. Their aggression policy is well appreciated throughout the world. They want to dismantle India and engulf it the way they did that for Tibet and others. They do that and blame it on you to see how you react. If there is strong reaction from India, their pseudo claim will eventually be disappeared. They are basically cowardice. If you shout at them they will runaway like street-dogs. Dont buy cheap electronic and other goods. They are not durable. Boycott them. Staunch their earning habits.

Very well said... point to add is that the top brass of politicians are completely dependent to their board of directors who are none other than the English men. And don't we all know that their mantra is "invade and rule"

Uday, seems that you think INDIA is weak comparing to china. This is a simple phsychological problem, that is we will not trust ourself, means we normally see and surprise other's growth and says they are strong, but we may not know how strong we are, and how fast we are growing. So, you dont trust India and its defense capability. If you ask a chinese he/she will say India is also a super power, means they see India and her growth. So, uday atleast from now trust our own country India and her capability. We are not less then any other country and we must not loose our territory even a single inch any more to any other country in the world. And we will not show our back to anyone. Remember that we were born in a country where not only Mahatma born, but remember NETAJI SUBASH CHANDRA BOSE was also born in INDIA. So, we know how to maintain peace and at the same time we know how to crush the enemy.

JAI HIND

China's claim is not false
by Raj Royale on Oct 11, 2007 12:18 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Tibet & Ladakh were always part of the Chinese empire. So were Arunachal and Vietnam, Monglolia, parts of what is now Russia.

Maharaja Ranjit Singh of Punjab pushed aggressively to the North into Tibet and Ladakh and wrested them from a weak China. Also with British help he pushed into Afghanistan and an independently wrested Khost from Persia.

His treaty with the British prevented him from coming into East into the weak Mughal Empire in Delhi and Awadh, which the British wanted for themselves. After the weakening of the Punjab empire, the British took over all territories of Punjab, including Tibet and Ladakh. Ranjit Singh's Dogra general was made king of Kashmir. The congress minister Karan Singh is a member of that general's family.

After the British left, India inherited all the territories that the British had won (Including Garhwal & Darjeeling, which it won from Nepal).

Now what China is doing is merely claiming its territories back which it lost from the British empire.

Let me clarify. I am not advocating their cause. Merely stating history and I also know of China's policy of claiming back lost territory from the pre-communist times. 2nd but least important argument, I am not Muslim, though there would be nothing wrong if I were.

So, this cock-and-bull story is supposed to make us feel us better. If people like you are posted in the border, Madhya Pradesh will have the new border of India with China with in a year. For a one crore population, India needs all the land that it has and more. China should be dealt with agressively and with an Iron hand. They are making all this propaganda in an effort to cover up their own incursions in Arunachal Pradesh. This is one excuse for hiding the real problem from International attention.
