Kaba was the temple of AL UZZAT n AL LAT two dieties which the people of Mecca reverd at that time. I think so. Any corrections are welcome.

Kaaba is house of Allah, a place of worship (like modern day masjid) re-built by Abraham (Ibrahim). The original house built by Ibrahim never had idols. As the Arabs deviated from Islam, between the time of Abraham and Mohammed the idol worship started. There existed 360 idols symbolising representation of each tribe. Uzzat and Lat were the largest among them.
After Mohammed re-preached Islam, these idols were broken and sanctity of the house was restored. Arabs revereted to worshipping Allah without associating the idols or partners to him.

Boys (both Hindus and Muslims) - First of all there is nothing called "Hinduism " - the name of the religion is "Sanatan Dharma". Hinduism is a term invented by the British-rulers - and encompasses every relion on the Indian soil.
2. The main Sanatan Dharma principles are there in the Gita and Upanishad (the Vedas mainly discuss how man should live life). Those are all high and excellent philosophy. After reading those, if you read Koran or Bible - it will feel like you are reading nursery rhymes after reading Shakespear or Rabindranath, in terms of content.

don't want to argue, but Hindus believe that Yama will come to take them on their death. Is this rational? They believe by bathing in Ganges will wash away their sins? Is this rational? You can kill a hundred man and bath in a river to get holy again. Stop dragging mythology here. This is not the topic of discussion here, if you have read the report.

Mr Virendra Singh, it depends how you interpret the text.
River Ganga flows down from himalayas, and himalaya is suppose to have tons of ayurvedic medicinal plants. and Ganga water is suppose to have that effect of ayurvedic medicines.
and in ancient times, where there was no cure for many disease, also ppl used to think of "leprosy" as "paap" or Sins. and ppl believed that if one takes bath in ganga water then one can get rid of that sin ( leprosy ).
So man, first try to dig out the facts, just dont try to sound like a pseudo secular just for the sake of it. we already have enough of congress folks for that job.

Yes muslims do believe in that. Why?
All creation belongs to Allah, if Allah wills he can give the ability for Kaaba to call Muslims. There is nothing supertitious about it, the Creator has full control over the created. Hence muslims worship the Creator and not the created. That is what is called monotheism, belief in none other than Allah the only true god.
Are you afraid of it. It will happen. There is enough hatred and enough weapons to start it. And motive?? 6.5 billions human beings growing rapidly on earth with ever increasing demand for resourses tht are limited and dwindling. Nothing but a big war is inevitable NOW.
Again I see the people of different religions fighting and abusing each other on this forum. It really shows what religion has done to humans. When will people realize that all religions are man made scams. If Allah,Ram or God exists then Santa Claus too. Be human first then look for god. AlQaeda Terrorists are all over the world including many asian countries. May be Pakistan is their hub. Pakistan should be forced to act on them, even economic blocade should be considered an option.

The literature Ramayana was written by Valmiki, on the basis of life of Lord Rama. All the literatures clearly shows the worshipping of Gods as per hindu rituals.

then Vedhas say there is only one god. vedhas say god has no image vedhas say god is unique power.
then you are not following vedhas.
Valmiki asks to Narada to tell about a man who possesses all good qualities. and Narada says Rama is the MAN and describs aout him and based on his description valmiki writes ramayana. has any of them said Rama is god? no both of them said Rama is Man. then you are not liviing according to ramayana.

I looks like you have just read few translation and hence have incorrect idea. You observation that there is only one God is right. God has no image - give the sanskrit version because english translation of the same might be incorrect.
We call same God by various names Rama, Krisha etc. Note the names are his quality. Just like a person who carries/delivers mail, we refer to such person as Postman, similarly we refer to God by qualities. When we say Vishnu - meaning of Vishnu - one who is both inside and outside (and also who is everywhere) Rama means - one who has perfect knowledge and bliss - these are qualities of God and hence we call him thus. If Allah is omnipresent, then the sanskrit word for it is Vishnu - Omnipresent. Isn't Allah omnipresent?

there are many heros in many novels just like willaim shekhesphere's romeo and juliet and dont forget arabian night's sindbad,hatim etc,etc why dont these people prey to them as well. i know if arabina nights has been written in sanskrit then you will find idols and temples of sindbad and hatim or romeo and juliet as well

It is only the religions of the middle-east that are restricting individualism,freedom of thought,free speech,right to be critical of a religious dogma ,etc. Religions of the East such as Hinduism,Budhism,Jainism,Shintoism,etc,do not have such problems since they are tolerant,open to criticism/discussions,not imposing any dogma upon pain of death,they don't mind atheism,as the underlying principle in them is not blind faith
it is sure that they have safe hevean there in pakistan, but why we are fighting within ourselves. one msg was ther in which person has written that didi ur mother is free for tonight? what is this? did we have actual humen alive in us? no once sister or mother is free for any thing bad and one should not demand such a silly question. be a good humen before posting any msg. rediff should check each msg before posting it on any portal. pronographic or irrelevent msfes should not be there on any portal.
