Toilets and sanitation.
by Prem Mohan on Oct 09, 2007 04:31 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I have a question to ask. How is that after 60 years of Congress rule, two-thirds of our people still defecate in the open air? The situation is the same in the Communist ruled states. Is this one of the benefits of communism/socialism?

I have a question to ask you too.
Despite being educated and well-to-do, why do upper class Indians still chuck their rubbish from their houses into the street ??? Why do they spit paan everywhere except in their own houses ???

We can try to educate the so-called upper class Indians for this. But how do you educate people to use toilets when there are none? As a nation, when will we start uplifting the poor? I am sure that it cannot be done through socialism and communism.

To ensure that the deal goes through, EC shld ban all communal parties like the congress, SP, RJD, BSP, Commies, Muslim League etc. & allow only truely secular parties like the BJP, Shiv-Sena, LJD, etc to contest elections. 99% of india's problems will be solved.

Narendra Modi to be Prime Minister, Advani to be President.

The left wants India and its masses poorer because then and then only the people will follow them blindly. Cummunism has failed in Soviet Union where the leadership fleeced its poor population .Its a pity that some misguided Maoists are still following the beaten track. Its not suprising that the left is aginst development.

India has never been ruled by a commie govt. Has India been able to make progress as much as Russia has made?
It doesn't matter what ism is followed. What matters is addressing the basic issues like corruption, education, healthcare etc. If you address ur basic issue the country will prosper - doesn't matter what ism is followed.

Do you know the living conditions suffered by the Soviet People? During 72 years of Communist rule, the country could not grow enough food despite being the largest country in the world.
They spent so much on arms and the space race that they collapsed in bankruptcy.

In any case, Soviet living standards should not be compared with India. They should be compared with Canada as they have similar climatic and geographic conditions.

Finally, I agree that no progress is possible without overcoming corruption. But the ism is also important.
