UNWARRANTED PRESIDENT'S RULE
by madhusudan mulabagal on Oct 09, 2007 06:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is rather most unfortunate that the Governer recommended the dissolution of the House immediately after acapeting the letter of resignation from former Chief Minister Kumaraswamy and his JDS partymen and mentioning their support to BJP to continue in
office for rest of 20 months .

AT this critical juncture, the basic courtesy demanded that the governer could have done was to call both the BJP and JDS and advised to run the office. If he had Shown this noble gesture, perhaps, he could have won the hearts of the millions of karnataka people .

Perhaps,a visit from representative of Comgress high-command has really closed the curtains on
the BJP-JDS lead combined rule in KARNATAKA.

As the saying goes, ' what is allotted cannot be blotted ' one has to bear the brunt and that to the common man will be the worst hit.

bjp and jd(s ) both are loosers.
by ravi kumar on Oct 09, 2007 06:08 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

both parties are loosers.

the bjp have shown lack of maturity and tact in handling the situation various leaders spoke in different tones and tenor , upping the ante everytime to such a level , that it went beyond control.

locla bjp leaders, and national leaders kept commenting on the issue of power transfer from 2 months before the due date , complicating the issue.

bjp was made to look like a bakraa and their image took a beating.

for the jd(s) , they have shown themselves to be untrustworthy. first they ditched the congress and then the bjp. they have lost their credibility and goodwill and the coming assembly elections will show their rout. they have a false sense of complacency and confidence based on the local body polls.

this will not hold good for the assembly polls.

this election will see the washout of the gowda family hopefully and for a brighter future for karnataka.

Vicky Nanjappa need to stop writing nonsense
by Kumar M on Oct 09, 2007 05:19 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Who is Vicky Nanjappa to write this crap? This shows immaturity.

BJP never acted in haste. They had given enough time for HDK to resign and hand over the power. Also was there a written agreement and if so, is it valid? Nah. Though BJP is the largest party in the assembly, they were pushed out by DG and HDK both times.

Haste??
by Mahesh on Oct 09, 2007 04:21 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

BJP acted in haste?? What are you talking about? Kumaraswamy refused to transfer power and he went to Governor requesting him to allow to prove majority. What would have happened if BJP did not withdraw support? He will just continue to be the CM. What stops him? It is dishonest to say BJP acted in haste.

Well said!
People do not know what an agreement means! HDK, Devegowda knew very well the date for transfer of power. They were the ones who should have come forth and communicated to Governor on the transfer of power on 2nd of October itself. If BJP was made to remind them, and go to their homes, it made them look like beg for some favor.

Why does the media forget that BJP, the largest party in Karnataka assembly, trusted HDK to transfer power irrespective what his father and some others in JD-S(S for Shamelss?) talked about this power transfer.

One will never know who is not trustworthy, until the truse it breached. If we start doubting a person, then there is no trust left.

JD-S (and, BSP's Mayawati, earlier) have taught the public and politician the meaning of betrayal by their acts.

The national parties should never succumb to blackmailing by regional / smaller parties.

How will anyone know that a user name belongs to another person? There is no mechanism to figure this out on the internet. I have been using this pen name for a long time.

I wish you think before making any comments like - Couldnt you think of anything original? or cant you think at all?

Kumaraswamy lost goodwill and JD-S its future...
by Demo-crazy on Oct 09, 2007 03:46 PM  Permalink

The common man thinks Kumaraswamy lost all the goodwill of 20 months work in just 20 minutes!
(in reality it was one week of brinkmanship by the JD-S leadership(?))

He may have to wait for another 10-15 years to re-gain the trust and the CM's post (which would have been easily his), just after 20 months. Now he will have to carry the stigma of the tag of betrayer just because of the foolish acts of people like HD Devegowda, MP Prakash, Merajuddin Patel, Jayakumar, Ansari, etc., who gave him wrong advice.

It was shocking to see a straight forward sounding man like HDK lose his mental balance in the last 10 days and act like a man possessed (by lust for power!).

Will he ever realize what damage he has done to himself and his party, which he wanted to save from Congress earlier!

The sooner he politically distances himself from his father, the better for him. JD-S should forcibly retire all such foolish elements from the party.

We Need BJP!!!
by Contractor on Oct 09, 2007 03:29 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We need BJP in this country. Who else can provide such humour and nautanki in this country ? The congress is a truly boring party - it talks of uninteresting stuff like development , garibi hatao , bijli ,women's rights, minority protection, secularism , bringing poor and dispossessed to mainstream , economic reforms , privatization etc etc. Not much fun.

Since independence, congress has been surviving on the same manifesto, fooling the people every time. It is even more interesting that people like you are still there to believe in their policies of garibi hatao, bijli, wormen's right, secularism and so on. Congress is the most communal party in India. Who can forget the suikh massacre they done aftermath of mrs. gandhi's assasination. And this very congress point fingers on BJP for gujrat riots. Gujrat riots was the reaction of Gohra incident where many innocent lives lost. Contrary to that one sikh security man pumped bullet on mrs. gandhi, and congress and their goons wiped out more than 3000 sikhs in delhi alone! And still they have the guts to talk about communal harmony and secularism! Wonderful indeed.

Then Rajiv Gandhi opened the gates of a Ram mandir in Ayodhya. No Hindu was aware of existence of such a temple in the Babri Masjid compound till then. He virtually opened a cann of worms and we all know what happened after that.
