There are 24 hours in a day...May be Kumaraswamy, Yediyurappa, and Adharama Singh can get into a agreement of dividing power sharing across 3 shifts (Morning Shift, Evening Shift and Night Shift). Kumaraswamy and Yediyurappa can switch between Morning Shift and Evening shifts. While Adharma Singh would prefer Night shift (Vidhana Soudha will renamed Vidhana Spirits & Wines during Night Shift). Same formula can be applied to other ministries. This way, all the ministries can function round the clock and create more wealth. And there will be 100% utilization of Govt. offices.

I fully agree with Prashant...when innovations are the norm and our political parties are \"for the people\" it is best that all of them \"make hay\" while the sun shines - after all it is the Deve Gowda\'s and the Kumaraswamys and the Karunanidhi\'s and the Mayawati\'s who are the King and Queen and their electorate are there for being taken for a ride - maybe they can herd us common people into a rikety bus or a truck and take us to Vidhana Soudha during their heavenly sojourn so that we can lick their feet and do all the measly tasks for them....U SEE \"OUR LEADERS\" are not only the MOST LITERATE BUT ALSO THE MOST MORAL OF ALL LIVING BEINGS IN THE UNIVERSE- Not to forget...we also need to provide plastic chairs for those ministers taking these \"power shifts\" so that it wont strain them when they pull the chair from under the ministers occupying it...LONG LIVE DEVA GOWDA....HAIL KUMARASWAMY....GOD BLESS KARUNANIDHI...AND KUDOS MAYAWATHI!

It is good, Governer rule in Karnataka. The so called apparent dvelopment done by Kumaraswami govt has been undone by himself. The same old fellow who did not bother to listen to his father then has taken lead in taking advice from his father now "How to swindle money out of land deals from Bangalore to Mysoor". Poor chap! You made yourself a bafoon!!

Political stability and strategy to demolish a 100-year old political party. Updated on http://sahadevan.wordpress.com/
The Discretion Power of the Governor is a very subjective issue. No sooner Kumarawamy resigned than the governor chose to recommend for dissolution of the Assembly, killing all hopes for a BJP Government to form. Though JD(U) had initially thought that they would be gaining much from the recent turmoil supported by the gains in Local election, they started realising that this might not take them to a stage to form the next government.
By resigning Kumaraswamy had made a calculated risk in suggesting the Governor to request him to continue as the Care Taker CM, so that he would enjoy the crucial facilities while during the run-up to the election and up-to installation of new government after. It was obviously difficult for any other party to claim forming the government, in present setup. And the President's rule would have been a remote possibility. It was all but certain that the Governor would call him to continue.
By doing so, the JD(S) hoped to buy some vital moments to erase the negative fall-out in the minds of the voters of their skirmish with BJP. And using the government machinery at their disposal, they hoped to do well in the State Assembly Election, carrying the recent success in the Local Election to the Vidhan Soudha.
But JD(U)realised later that a further few months' reprieve would have helped them by supporting formation of the First BJP Government in South. But it was too late by that time. And Congress pulled the string from behind.
"Kumaraswamy met with the governor at around 7.30 pm at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday and handed over his resignation." ..... Its Monday today, has rediff leaked this information?

Good one, may be Rediff is redefining future by getting in to the business of news making. It is well supported by so many talented individuals (below listed bloggers) to do a very detailed political analysis of events to come.
I don't know if it's constitutionally possible...But, I have a weird feeling that may be Governor Thakur or his son/daughter is planning to become the next chief minister of Karnataka with the support of BJP, Congress and JD(S). That's right, no opposition party needed. This way there will be a fair power sharing and "revenue" sharing mechanism of all parties to benefit. Dharam Singh, Yediyurappa & Kumaraswamy all will be all Deputy chief ministers of North, Central and South Karnataka respectively. Deve Gowda will occupy a new position named Political advisor to Takur (this is a reward for all the hard work that he did in the last few days) and is similar to what Sonia Gandhi at the national level. Even poor S.M.Krishna who was waiting in Maharashtra to see if he can throw in his hat with the govt formation, will be rewarded with the position as the new Governor of Karnataka. Can anyone think of better win-win-win-win situation?
Devegowda & Sons is a Private Enterprise. Not even a Private Ltd Co. Yediyurappa & Associates should not trust the Devegowda & Sons. If Yediyurappa & Associates going fo polls they can win the elections very easily. But BJP should project either Mr. Anandkumar or Mr. R.Ashok as the Chief Ministerial Candidate. Renukacharya is also a better candidate than Mr. Yediyurappa

It hardly matters for BJP which condidate. Even if JD give CM post to BJP & all departments to JD, BJP will get ready.
Many politicians came and went but the situation is the same. Why? 'Cos the problem is in the system
a) Supre Minister (PM) is apppointed by a politician like Sonia and not elected by the people of India. This is 21'st Century British Raj in tact..
b) Single Person can stand for Chief Minister n number of times. No time limit. (e.g. the Oldy Jyoti Basu ruled Bengal for 30 yrs until he could not stand)
c) Switching of Party AFTER getting elected is still allowed in this country..
d) In a multi party Gov. why is it allowed to remove support?
f) Police Commissioner in advance societies are elected by people not appointed by politicians. No wonder Goondas took over the country..
12'th almost failed students are going for Law degrees. Then some of them become Judges and then Supreme Judges. Vow that should increase the quality of democracy..
You all half brains think that getting Hinglish education is making you smart.. None of U morons know anything about your democracy..

relax buddy!!! don't get excited. nothing can be done except timepass in this country. will be 1st to come out on streets like bankim, sart chand, bhagat singh?? they were different blood n they took the blood with their death. just sit on sys. and write to ur hearts content.
Yes this father and son duo of Gowda should be blasted out of politics. When HD Kumaraswamy signed the agreement with BJP 20 months back then This father HD Dewe Gowda secluded himself from this affair saying his son was not in his control. Now when it was the turn of JD(S) to hand over power that wretched Gowda comes from nowehere and says let my son remain CM as it karnataka belongs to these father and son. This Deve Gowda is a very shrewed creature. Atleast people should have learnt a lesson from the past. Earlier this fellow pulled congress and formed gov at the center. Now they did the same in K'nataka. They want to remain in power even though they are the smallest party in the state. BJP inspite of having the highest number coudnt get the CM post. What could be more shameful than that. This Kumaraswamy was behaving so innocent before the power transfer issue. Once the power transfer issue came to picture he changed his color and showed his real intentions. Blast these culprits out of the state. They in turn have alloted lot of lands for their family members and have secured their future. They dont think about the money which will be spent in ellections.. I onyl hope that people dont vote for his party aand also removed Deve Gowda from the president post. An agreement is an agreement and cant be just broken at will. They should also have heavy penalty if broken. Like seizure of his entire property. Otherwise these people wont learn any lesson.

Maybe FEVICOL must have done the trick for Kumaraswamy.....he could not leave the chair! (Papa Gowda must have bought a kilo and applied on the CM's gaddi) I think D Gowda - the "principled leader" should apply the same on a chair next to the CM so that they can forever rule Karnataka and "bless" all of Us.
