What a Shit !!!!!!!!!!!!!
by Murali Menon on Oct 08, 2007 05:44 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

BJP got to lose a winning battle knowingly by opting out for this unethical tie-up with HDD & HDK combine. If Mr. B S Yediyurappa believes that this tie-up will be a smooth sail for him to complete his tenure, he still lives in a fool's paradise, because even a child hardly needs common sense to judge a man of HDD/HDK caliber.

It will be a political suicide for BJP if they decided to go for this enethical marriage.

HDD and HDK would bargain hard. Even harder than what they bargained with Dharam Singh. It will be a night-mare for Yediyurappa to handle HDD. HDD didn't allow Dharam Singh to wake-up and do anything positive, thereby ensuring that Congress looses face/credibility with People of Karnataka. Hats off to the idiotic thinking of HDD, which hampered progress, when they supported the government.

Its the pressure from MLAs, which has forced HDD/HDK combine to bend in front of BJP. MLAs at the best can be Minister, and they will remain minister, it doesn't matter who is the CM. Politics at its dirtiest possible level. Sometimes it makes me think that its better to be not in Democracy, where such mockery of system happens.

thats what has happened... JD(S) got blinded with recent success in local polls and went to an extent of going for mid-term polls. people of K'taka would have tought him a good lesson had he gone ahead with early polls.

If this story is true, one should ask has the BJP gone MAD?
by Demo-crazy on Oct 08, 2007 05:44 PM  Permalink

If this is true, I can say BJP is not only dumb to trust such a party as an alliance partner, it is simply MAD. What are the sources of Vicky Nanjappa to make this story? We need some explanation. Or else its a April Fool story in October!!

All deaf, dumb, or blind persons have some intelligence. I do not know what kind of people lead BJP.

If this happens, I will be forced to say, slavery suits us and we should see Congress back in the saddle soon. JDS is bound to ditch BJP soon on or the other pre-text or makes its life miserable.

Vulnerable coalition
by on Oct 08, 2007 05:43 PM  Permalink

It suprises me as to how the parties who were fist-fighting a couple of days ago have reconciled to form a Government now. With all the mudslining they have done on each other this government can collapse any day. This is a Vulnerable coalition and Deve Gowda may pull the plug any day.

Power Hungry BJP
by Nilesh Sangoye on Oct 08, 2007 05:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

That a regional party like JD(S) behaved the way it did though ridiculous was understandable but the BJP, a national party and 'a party with a difference' stooping to such levels just to grab power is unacceptable. Where has all the high moral grounds that the leaders of this party were bragging about gone to??? SHAME!!! SHAME ON BJP!!! Its all so clear now - that the BJP has signed its death warrant and its only a matter of time that 'the party with a difference' will become "The Party of the Past."

Press release by Dave Gowda
by Chanakya on Oct 08, 2007 05:39 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dave Gowda to the Press this evening:

It is a misconception that BJP is communal. The coalition government in Karnataka JD(S) and BJP for the past 20 months have been very peaceful and harmonial, which exhibited growth and development to the state. By continuing this relationship with BJP, the JD(S) are confident of governing the state for the full term with the same harmony and peaceful atmosphere.

Force Majure: if JD(S) is secular, BJP also is Secular and if BJP is communal then JD(S) also communal. otherwise how can they join hands and keep us the harmony.

haaa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha they have made a foooool of all kannadigas....

I guess the BJP called his bluff? The governor asking him to resign did not help either....but the BJP needs to be careful. They should not expect this to continue for long....certainly not 20 months. I am 100% confident that Mr. Deve Gowda is just buying time and will soon return to his "BJP is Communal" slogan. In fact, if the BJP had been able to "bug" Deve Gowda and Kumaraswamy 20 months ago, they would have heard DG say " Go ahead and do it...we can always pull the rug after 20 months....we will put on a show of differing with each other now"
