Sonia Maino being projected India's leader by Congress party is greatest disservice to Indian National Congress, and above all to the country.

Its extremely pathetic politics which shows Congress party has lost vitality and has become a dynastic one.

Yes, there were many Congress leaders who were from the West. Neille Sengupta rose to the president of Congress in Pre-independence period. But THAT WAS BECAUSE OF HER ABILITY, NOT BECAUSE SHE WAS SOMEBODY'S WIFE.

Maino's leadership of Congress is greatest misfortune of for the party and above all India as a civilization.

Hope its a temporary phase.

Nope, it will continue forever. Now, Rahul Gandhi is the Gen. Secy. of AICC. Priyanka Vadra will be given some similar post.
Next, these people will be eliminated while their kids will assume leadership of the party.

Can Sonia even read/write Hindi in Devnagri Script (or any other Indian language)?

Can Sonia even read/write Hindi in Devnagri Script (or any other Indian language)?

Can she read Munshi Premchand?

Has she read Tulsidas's Ramayana?

In a speech in Mumbai, the way she prounced Khairnalji (the Maharashtra village where a daily family was murdered) was most pathetic.

She could NOT even pronounce the name properly.

Give her a copy of 'Republic' by Plato. She will understand that as it came from the Western world and would be ashamed for making a shame of democracy of our nation.

India doesnt mean only north India !!!
Any leader except from the north, would fail in the qualifications listed by you.....Do you think leaders from AP, TN, Kerala, Karnataka, northeast can read Devnagri? How is that important? Reading Tulsidas Ramayan...since when has that become a prerequisite ? I really doubt if even Advaniji has read it. :P:P

>>Reading Tulsidas Ramayan...since when has that become a prerequisite ?

Its precisely this sort of hostile atitude to indigeneous people, culture which is legitimizaing BJP.

Tulsidas's Ramayana is a major, if not the most major work in the history of Hindi literature.

And it shaped peoples life, culture for last many centuries.

And you have audacity to say, why its important.

You are either a self-hating Hindu, or a jehadi/xtian activit hiding under an assumed name.

BJP will forever be thriving as long as there will be idiots like you.

Has she even heard name of Adi Sankara, the early Indian Nationalist? Or name of Poet Bharati, or Rajaji?

What are you talking man...use your brain for good purpose. not to cling onto Maino's petty coat.

Fact is, Maino neither can read/write Hindi in Devnagri Script.

Neither she can read-write ANY OTHER INDIAN LAGUAGES. Whether its Bengali, or Tamil..........

Political parties - Ready for Polls
by Srikanth on Oct 08, 2007 08:49 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

N-deal may not be a sellable product in the rural area as we have different market segment in India.
It is necessary to tell the people that what congress acheived this time.
Middle class and the employeed class are alienated from congress.
For BJP, it is not possible to use Lord RAM name anymore as you did earlier.
Left-They themselves know that they can't comeout of WB and Kerala.
Net-net last elections loosers might be gainers in someplaces and regional parties are going to play major roles and there are more confusions going to happen. seems noone understands this.

See there are different segment of people in india and each and everyone wants something which is beneficial for them. Lord Ram is meant for one particular segment where they now feel that BJP has betrayed them in Mandir issue.
Not all voted for BJP because of RAM mandir issue. Atthat time BJP never bothered abt power.
Look at now. Even it is finding itself difficult to project any leader for PM post as they are greedy.

Coming to your question, for Congress in Tamil Nadu, they are against Lord Ram and they even not opposing DMK for their derogatory against Lord Ram. They are now in confusion that the n-deal is going to alienate them from muslim.

For DMK,they need muslim votes and they want to show the world that they are secular and for development. If not, they are aligning with congress or BJP, they can't get even a small win in TN. They are now in central govt and they have to defend themselves to muslims that they are all the time with them thro they are with them. They will try to project the hindus that they are for Sethu project and BJP and AIADMK are against that and so the reason to get their votes.
If BJP wants power, they have to raise their voice on inter-river connectivity, raising price on essential commedities.
I think all get confused.

Sonia is controlled by two coterie: One Muslim lader from Gujarat Ahmed Patel.

Another Xtian leader in the name of Ambika Soni.

Both of them were associated with emergency excesses of Sanjay Gandhi, and has no grassroot support.

Look at their home state: Gujarat where Cong is out of power for last 15 years. And in Punjab where it lost decisively.

Congress is going to loose Muslim Vote heavily because of Indo-US Strategic alliance
by Tathagata Mukherjee on Oct 08, 2007 08:37 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Congress is going to loose Muslim Vote heavily because of Indo-US Strategic alliance.

That's why its desperately pushing Sachar, and Muslim reservation.

At the end, Congress is loosing both: Hindus and Muslim votes in the process.

It also shows, at this delicate juncture of history when Islamic Jehadism is growing like wildfire, we need a strong party like BJP to rule India.

The world is looking at India, its security, intelligence goofups, pandering to Muslim Votebank in the name of 'secularism' with most utter disghust.

THROW OUT SONIA MAINO. SHE DOES NOT DESERVE TO LEAD INDIA. AS RAVJIv'S WIFE, SHE SHOULD HAVE HER PLACE. BUT NOT AS A NATIONAL LEADER.

you are right. Congress is going to give heavy price as they have given it in 1991.
By doing this, congress is wrong by indirectly projecting muslims are enemies to Indian development. It's wrong and it is going to affect that community largely as they would be loosing soft Hindu's affections.

The nuclear deal is bad for another reason:
It "effectively" forces India to stop nuclear testing and reprocessing of spent fuel, which are the bulwarks of Indian atomic energy and military forces.
This deal doesn't make sense, it is more harmful than good,
DON'T GO AHEAD WITH THIS DEAL.

Congress has played rotten for the last 60 years. Now acting like the good-guys.See where our villages are in India, when we claim we are developing. No water,no sanitation.Even neccessitties not met.Now what will nuclear power do?Make power for cities? Would it be used to the best potential? Indians can never hope such things are safe in India. This N-deal is only to please America,Mr.Singh's favorite country.Sonia doesn't know a thing about nuclear energy,so why is she angry?

Sonia herself does not need to know about nuclear energy. Nor does MMS.
There is something called leadership...which means creating a team of best professionals and giving them the vision, direction, support to work !!
Thats how good democracies work.Anywhere.

So would these professionals think only in their professional capacity or also take into account the national interests too?
Good democracies work by taking into consideration many factors like consensus among opposing parties, peoples' interests, vision for future. We don't see anything from Madam and Singh, except adamance and now bad mouthing of their UPA bed-fellows.The ways of the Queen!

Indian opposition thrives on opposing things. The deal, starte by BJP doesnt get its endorsement. Neither does lefts. Getting opposition toagree with govt has rarely happened in Inia.
So it is upto the govt. of the day to get things done keeping in mind the best interests of the country.

She's merely a puppet in the hands of other vested interests. I pity her, even when she did not want to join politics and lead a normal life, they did not let her do it. By venting our ire at Sonia, we forget that the real rogues are hiding behind her. Even this speech would have been written by her political masters. Too bad for her.
